"Have to keep in training," Peter agreed with a nod. "Speaking of which, have you been missing actual swordwork?"

"I haven't gotten in a good practice fight recently," Joxer said. "But my prowess continues to be as great as ever."

"Oh, of course," Peter replied, slightly taken aback by the claim. "Well, I was going to say that Sakurazaki and I have been putting together a salle where we'd be allowed to use our weapons. But if you don't need the training, then I shan't elaborate."

"I'd be glad to help you guys train," Joxer said. "Just let me know when and where."

Peter shook his head. "Thank you for the offer," he said slowly. "I doubt Sakurazaki's style is similar enough for that, but I'd be happy to spar with you. Tomorrow perhaps?"

"I can do that," Joxer said. "Always got to be ready for a fight, after all."

"Good motto, that," Peter agreed. "What styles do you use anyway?"

"Classic stick the pointy end in the other guy," Joxer said.

"Simple yet effective," Peter agreed. "Where'd you learn?"

"Home," Joxer said. "So Greece. Apparently it's called 'Ancient' Greece now."

"I used to study Greece in school," Peter said. "Coming here must have been a bit of an adjustment."

"I'm getting more and more used to it," Joxer said. "But things like the magic image box... I mean TV, they still get to me sometimes."

"They didn't have television in my time either. It's brilliant, but fairly odd, I think," Peter said.

"We didn't even have the electriciffy or plumbing in my time," Joxer said. "How far back are you from?"

"1940, only about 70 years ago," Peter replied. "And another place that's probably more at the level of techonology you're used to. Only with magic."

"Please, you don't think we didn't have magic?" Joxer laughed. "I didn't tell you that a god sent me here, did I?"

"Really," Peter said, consideringly. "You didn't tell me that, no."

"Well I did," Joxer said. "So we had magic too. The gods wouldn't really be gods without it."

"I suppose not," Peter said, still deep in thought. "Is the god who sent you here your guardian or is he taking revenge on you for something?"

"He or she owed my dad a favor," Joxer said. "I still don't know who it was. My dad told me to pack, and next thing I know... Bam. I'm here."

"Well, I know that tale," Peter replied with a nod. "My guardian told me that he was sending me to school then here I was."

"Wow," Joxer said. "We have more in common than I thought."

Peter nodded, not trusting his words for a first response. "Could be, could be."

Joxer patted Peter on the back. "If I didn't already have a fake brother here, I would ask you to be one too," he said. "But I think Jamie would feel less special if I did that."
