Dean was ensconced in front of the tv, plenty of unhealthy snacks within easy reach. On the tv was something with a lot of car chases and explosions. Perfect for mindless viewing.

Sam came into the common room, and saw quite a few people - but what he noticed first was Dawn sitting on Dean's lap. Maybe he could turn around and back out before anyone saw him...

"Hey Sammy," Dean greeted his brother when he spotted him in the doorway.

And there went that idea. "Hey Dean," he replied, waving. "How's it going?"

"Really good," Dean replied with a big grin.

Sam couldn't fight the urge to grin back when Dean looked that happy. "Really? Dare I ask what's causing that?"

"Take a wild guess," Dean suggested still grinning.

"Does this have anything to do with the fact that I was the only one sleeping in my room the other night?" he asked. He hadn't been oblivious to the fact that Dawn had been in a good mood lately too, even if he didn't want to think about why.

"It might," Dean all but drawled.

Sam rolled his eyes and laughed, ignoring the feeling brewing in his stomach. "Oh, it might? That means it does."

"It's not polite to kiss and tell," Dean told him. "Especially when the kissee is sitting on your lap and swings a mean frying pan."

"And I'd certainly never want to give her a reason to do that again," Sam teased weakly. "Well, congratulations."

"Thanks," Dean said with a smile. "And hey, I'm sure Buffy will be back soon."

"I think so. Her e-mail didn't say anything about exactly when she'd be coming back." He smirked at Dean. "Not that we'll be getting close to where you and Dawn are."

"Not with that attitude you won't. You gotta think positive, Sammy."

Dawn's first impulse when she saw Sam was to get off of Dean's lap. Weird. She stayed where she was though. "Roomie! I think I'm going to die of embarrassment tomorrow. You'll call my sister?"

"Sure, I will," Sam replied. "But why do you think you're going to die?"

"The reports on what we did with our...stuff." She blushed. "Hey, what did you do with yours?" She asked, before realizing that maybe she didn't want to know. "I'm sure Dean could loan you his cape from last session."

"Uh, can I just say that I tested it successfully and leave it at that?" he asked, suddenly looking a lot more nervous. "I'll have to ask for that cape - I get the feeling I might end up dying more than you will tomorrow."

"Why? Did you get it stuck somewhere?"

"No! I didn't use it like that," Sam said quickly. "We had to run a help desk in computer class today, and guess who called in because she couldn't get Google to let her search for sex toys?"

Dawn giggled. "What'd she do to offend Google?"

"She had her Safe Search settings on, so it wasn't letting her look at anything dirty. I walked her through turning them off, and in return, I'm apparently going to get 'public recognition' in class tomorrow." Sam frowned. "The cape might not be enough."

"Probably not. It's only three inches long," Dawn informed him. "And public recognition? Do you think she's going to give you an award? Ooh," she teased, an unholy light in her eyes, "Maybe you need to have a speech ready?"

"You know what, go ahead and mock me. If I have to give a speech, I'll be sure to say that you're the one who told me how to turn the safety settings off so you could look at dirty things."

"Sam, I don't even know how to turn the safety settings on," she whined. "And I don't know what dirty things I'd want to look at. I mean, they're other people's dirty things. Yuck."
