2nd Floor Common Room - Sunday Evening

Veronica and Archie decided to commandeer the second floor common room to use the good TV to watch Buccaneers of the Sea Not Entirely Unlike the Caribbean. There were homemade cookies and some other assorted snacks if anyone wanted to join them.

"A pure and virtuous god?" Callisto raised an eyebrow. "Pull the other one."

Another shrug. "Humans have strange ideas sometimes."

"I hadn't noticed," Callisto replied dryly.

"No offense," Bel said.

"None taken."

"Cookie?" Bel said, holding one out to her by way of peace offering.

"Thanks," Callisto said, taking the cookie. "No people in it right? I'm trying to cut down."

"Counting calories?" Bel said. "I'm pretty sure they're people-free and goat's blood free."

"Too much salt, might as weel, head off another lecture before it begins," Callisto replied. "Goat's blood?"

"Willow's trying to come up with a cookie recipe with goat's blood," Bel explained. "To remind me of the comforts of home."

"Demons bake cookies?" Callisto asked, then added. "Vinegar should help keep it from clotting."

"Not cookies so much," Bel said, then muttered under his breath, "unless they're being blackmailed by Piper into taking her class." Louder, he continued, "Just the flavoring. Blood gets used in lots of rituals, demon, human . . . goat."

"Wonder what would happen if they used gremlin," Callisto said, her tone in no way suggesting she wasn't just talking about demons. Really.

Bel made a face. "That's disgusting."

"It'd probably make the rituals less boring," Callisto pointed out.

"It would be fun to see some of the leaders of the Brotherhood make fools of themselves," Bel mused.

"And since they're likely to be evil rituals, disrupting tham could only be a good thing."

"You may be on to something here," Bel said, rubbing his chin.

Callisto snickered. "What? You thought Angel was the brains of the operation or something?"

Bel chuckled. "You mean he's not?"

"All that gel, had a few bad side effects."

"Rots your brain?"

"Hollow." Callisto rapped the side of her head. "Sound like a drum when you hit it."

"Huh," Bel said. "I'll have to make a point to tap him when I go pick Isabel up."
