Roof - Sunday Evening

Marie was tired of being cooped up in her room. She still wasn't sure she was up to the insanity of a common room, so she decided to take advantage of the absolutely gorgeous night and head up to the roof.

It was one of those nights where Conner just felt like going up to the roof, not having done much of anything else today.

"Hey, you," he said when he spotted Marie. "This isn't your usual hangout."

"I know," Marie said. "But it's a gorgeous night and I didn't feel like being in my room. And the common rooms are a little too social for me still."

"I get that." Conner sat down and got comfortable, then looked over at her. "Is me being here too social for you?"

Marie shook her head. "Nah, it's okay. I trust you not to get too close."

"Even without a banana split on hand?" Conner teased. "How's things with Jamie, anyway?"

"Pretty out," Schrodinger said from Marie's side.

He probably hadn't been there the last time Marie looked.

Marie started and glanced over, drawing back a tiny bit.

"Yes it is."

Schrodinger glanced over. "My ears scare you?"

"No, not at all," Marie said because she hadn't actually noticed them. "I just didn't hear you come out that's all."

"Yeah," Schrodinger said. "I get that a lot." He smiled. "I guess I'm just naturally stealthy!"

Jamie happened to be wandering around and eventually made his way to the roof.

"Hey everyone. What's going on?"

"Hey," Marie smiled. "I'm just enjoying the nice weather."

"Glad to see you out of your room," Jamie replied with a grin. "How are you doing?"

"I'm okay," Marie said, trying to put the weird conversation with Schrodinger out of her mind. "How about you?"

"Other than trying not to skip around like a loon after our date last night? A little on the bored side. I'm ws trying to find something to do and..." Jamie waved his arm. "Viola.

Tyler went up on the roof to think about his weekend.

Blowing stuff up with Sam had been a nice stress relief, but there was still odd stuff in his head.

It almost made him happy to find other people up there.

"Stickbug Tyler!" Jamie said in greeting. "How's it hanging?"

Tyler gave Jamie a weird look. "Didn't I hit yoou last time I saw you?"

"Just trying to be friendly," Jamie replied. "Do you need to hit me again?"

"Do you want me to?," Tyler asked politely.

"Nah. If Alec's cool with yoou, I'm cool with you." He left out Blair's theory that he should be nicer to Jamie than anyone, because after alll it was Blair.

Marie gave Tyler a wave. She had no idea what, if anything, he knew about what was going on with her and after Schrodinger's question, she wasn't sure if she was up for talking about it.

Tyler only knew what he had heard on the radio, but he wasn't in a mood to quiz anyone. "Hey, Marie. Nice night to sit out here."

"It really is," Marie agreed. "I like the fall."

"You're dressed for it," Tyler said, with a brief glance at her hands and long sleeves. "But yeah, fall's nice."

John came up to the roof to be alone. 4th floor was too crowded these days.
