Second Floor Common Room [evening]

Rory was bored, so after a quick run into town to pick up some Ching Tai to share, she made herself comfortable in the common room with all three King of the Bracelets movies and started with the first.

She was fully prepared to helpfully point out the symbolism and archetypes to anyone who seemed to be missing them.

Luke poked his head into the common room. "Something smells good," he commented hopefully.

"Chinese," Rory said, waving her chopsticks in greeting and gesturing to the boxes of food. "Hi!"

"Hi!" Luke said. "What's with the sticks?"

"They're chopsticks. You eat with them," she explained, and Rory idly wondered if it was her calling to spend eternity explaining chopsticks to Skywalkers.

Luke gave her a confused look. "Why?"

He randomly picked a carton from the table and sat down, skewering food onto one chopstick and then eating it. "This takes forever," he complained.

"No, like I'm doing," Rory said, demonstrating. "Use both sticks."

Luke tried to imitate what Rory was doing and ended up dropping a piece of broccoli into his lap.

"Huh."

"It takes some practice," Rory admitted, trying not to laugh.

"I believe you," Luke said, dropping a piece of chicken back into the carton, too. "What are you eating?"

"Orange chicken," she replied happily. "There was rain and ickiness and now we have food and there are movies and it's a very nice way to spend the evening."

Billy, returning from a long walk in the woods, smelled chinese food. He poked his head in to see if his olfactory nerves were on the level. "Greetings and salutations."

Rory raised a brow. "Hi."

"I like the rain," Luke said, finally managing to get a piece of chicken into his mouth. "Are there forks around here?"

"Let me guess," Z said as she entered the common room. "I should recognize this movie?"

"In the kitchen area," Rory giggled.

"Probably," Rory replied. "It only came out a few years ago."

Peter looked in the Coomon Room. "Evening all." He looked more closely at the television. "What movie's this?"

Heading back upstairs from spending some time outside, Dean ducked his head into the common room as he passed. "Hey, Chinese!"

Luke got up with somewhat unseemly haste and bolted for the flatware.

He returned to his spot on the couch. "Now that I can try it," he said, "it's good."
