Outside the Danger Room, 7th Period

Blair was tired and sore and looking a little worse for wear. He sported a bandage on his forehead and several small cuts and bruises were visible on his face, neck and hands. His cast on the other hand was looking suspiciously shiny and white, as Aziraphale had kindly fixed that for him.

Also, he was without his backpack, but that might be hard to tell since he was sitting down on the floor just outside the danger shop door, the stop-sign shaped with the word "THINK" laying in front of him. It wasn't his best sign, but he felt really guilty about flashing a sign about not killing demons after last night.

"I almost attacked 'Phale," Bel said. "I could've killed Wilson. Or you."

"I'm not sure if you noticed, but Azzy almost attacked you too. Do you not trust him anymore?"

"You didn't kill them. You stopped. You changed back. You gotta trust yourself, man. But until you're ready to do that...I'll trust you." Blair figured that this was an emotional enough moment for it, and he tried to give Bel a hug. One of those manly 'look we just won a touchdown or bought a new car' hugs.

Bel flinched. He couldn't help it, he knew he didn't deserve Blair's blind trust. He returned the hug and awkwardly patted Blair on the back. "Thanks, man," he said.

Blair, encouraged by the response, hugged Bel tightly and then stepped back, grinning. "So...you ready to talk?"

Bel looked around to make sure no one else was around and dropped his voice. "I...killed somebody," he said reluctantly. "Maybe."

"Since I know you killed people last night, I'm assuming you're talking about something else?"

"Yeah," Bel said. "Not demons. A human."

"Oh, Bel." Blair breathed quietly. "What happened?"

"He hurt Phoebe," Bel said flatly.

"Is Phoebe okay?" Blair asked worriedly. "And how do you maybe kill someone?"

"She's gonna be okay," Bel said, nodding. "Guy mugged her in the park back home. I...found him. Let him know what a mistake it was to touch her." His fist clenched unconsciously.

Blair stared at him for a long moment. "Why did you do that?"

"Because nobody touches what's mine and lives," Bel said. That was the demon talking.

"Wanna try that again?" Blair asked. "Maybe without the glare and the possession vibe?"

"He hurt Phoebe," Bel growled. "I couldn't let him get away with it."

"Did your killing him stop him from hurting Phoebe?"

"He can't hurt her again," Bel said.

"But he already hurt her once. You didn't change that." Blair frowned. "The chances of a mugger attacking the same person more than once is insanely low, man."

"I'm not going to just sit and not let him be punished for what he did," Bel growled.

"If you're goal was the punish him you could have found him and taken him to the cops." Blair said. "You didn't do this for Phoebe."

"I'm used to dealing with things with my own hands," Bel growled lowly.

"Doesn't that hurt your throat?" Blair asked idly. "Like I said, you didn't do this for Phoebe. You did this for you."

"The question is why."

"What do you mean I did it for me?" Bel snapped, growing irritated. "He deserved to be punished for what he did."

"You didn't punish him, man. You killed him." Blair frowned. "I think you took out your anger at yourself for not being there when Phoebe was hurt."

"He deserved it," Bel muttered.
