Main Campfire - Evening

Isabel and Cameron had managed to get the campfire going in the main area. Luckily the weather was a lot clearer than yesterday and things had remained dry. There were several containers with snacks and beverages standing along the side and there was an abundance of marshmallows for people to get through a whole weekend with.

And now it was just a matter of waiting for people to show up and recapture the cabin spirit one last time before fall and winter truly set in.


((Open like an open thing. There were posters up yesterday so there's no excuse for your character not to know about it! Unless, of course, you happen to have a stubborn one who has trouble reading stuff. Ah, aren't you blessed if you do.))

"And then there's a mess and trauma and running around until it's all fixed." Isabel sighed. "It keeps life interesting at least."

She laughed. "When did you and I get the same life? It's like you were there."

"It's the alien thing. It's required."

Sam grinned. "I'm not an alien. I just hang out with them a lot."

"Well, you can tell a lot about a person by the company they keep," she chuckled.

"So you can tell that I'm pretty darn lucky, huh?" Sam asked, conveniently forgetting about the number of times she'd died or been otherwise inconvenienced. "Any plans for the rest of the weekend?"

"I'm hoping Greg will stop by after he's done with Caritas tonight," Isabel smiled happily. "God knows after all this sugar I'll probably still be awake. Then I'm going to handwavey lunch and costume shopping with Jack tomorrow."

"Costume shopping with Jack?" Sam's grin turned vaguely wolfish. "Interesting. I have yet to figure out what I'm wearing. I missed last year because O'Neill had pneumonia."

"His costume is entirely appropriate for him," Isabel snickered. "Also? If we get everything we need? Hot. You'll enjoy it. I think I know what I'm going as. You know," she said thoughtfully. "If you're intersested, you can borrow my belly dancer costume from Jarod's birthday party."

"Now I'm really curious," Sam laughed, "and I'll take you up on that, I think. Only fair, right? What're you wearing?"

"It was various shades of purple so the colors will work for you. There was a halter," she said. "And a the the waist was very low rise with a bunch of panels of fabric attached to it. There was also a veil to wear across your face if you'd like."

"That would be great, thanks," Sam decided, "and then I'm done with costumes for a while, hopefully. Just me and jeans and sweaters and boots. But you still haven't told me what you're wearing."

Isabel nodded, "I like Fall for just that reason. I'm thinking of going as an angel maybe. If I can find a costume that's not too trampy or not too virginal. Hopefully there'll be something at the store tomorrow. If you want come by tomorrow night to pick up the costume and I'll show you whatever I came up with."

"That sounds excellent." She yawned, then smiled. "I didn't get much sleep yesterday. I think I'm going to head off to bed."
