Saturday evening, just outside the school grounds

There really was something irresistable to the trolls about the giant castle thing at the top of the hill.

I mean, come on! Trolls, castle . . . it was like a match made in heaven!

So, once they'd made lots of good headway pillaging and rampaging through the town, the trolls started on their way up the hill, aimed for the gates to the school, grinning and slathering and singing creepy, troll-y songs of glee.

The burst of bullets caught the troll in the chest. He lurched forward, swinging the cudgel once at Seely before he fell to the ground.

Of course, this now meant more trolls were moving towards Seely and his weapon.

The cudgel glanced off Seely's side and he winced. "Oh, crap," he muttered to himself when he saw the other trolls, and put his gun back up in a firing position.

"Females like you," one said, smiling and hoping for a reward if he brought Seely back. "Come back with us?"

"I'm not so sure about that," Seely said. preparing to fire at the troll.

Which would be when his gun jammed.

"Oh, crap."

The troll laughed in positive glee. He reached one furry hand out and grabbed Seely's shoulder.

"You make good plaything."

"Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap." Clinging to his gun in a death grip, Seely tried hitting the troll with the butt.

The troll grunted and whipped his arm at Seely's head in retaliation.

Seely's head snapped back as the troll's arm connected, and his vision went fuzzy. He kept trying to hit the troll with his gun though.

This male was highly annoying and the troll was getting pissed.

"Stay still," he grunted and brought his cudgel down on Seely's knee.

Seely stopped trying to hit the troll, mostly because his knee gave out and he fell over. He continued to hold the gun in a death grip.

"That your female?" the troll asked, pointing to the gun. He'd seen some males hold the females like that before.

"Not quite," Seely replied. The gun finally unjammed and went off. Pity it wasn't aimed higher than the trolls foot.

The troll dropped Seely to the ground, yowled in pain, tripped and fell ON TOP of Seely.

Seely yelped as he felt something in his side crack, and squeezed the trigger reflexively. Yes, while the troll was still on top of him.

Seely now had a stone dead troll on top of him and another troll advancing to see what was happening.

To be honest, Seely was currently slightly more worried about the fact that between the heavy stone troll crushing him and the burning sensation in his side he was having some trouble breathing than that new troll.

Parker, heading back toward the dorm, saw the developing scenario, and shot at the advancing troll, mostly to frighten him off. "Hey! You! Big guy! If I pay you, will you switch sides?"

"Unimportant human female," the troll said, brushing off the bullets and moving towards Seely with purpose.

"Parker?" Seely gasped. "Is that you?"

"Yes, hang on!" Parker stopped about twenty yards away, braced herself, and shot for the eyes again, advancing as carefully as she know how. "Hey, unimportant troll male! What happens if I shoot your groin?"

"Dirty human female," the troll replied and threw his club at Parker's head.

"Parker!" Seely yelped as he tried shifting into a more comfortable position. "Stop flirting and help me!"

Parker ducked and rolled away from the club, then picked it up and ran toward Seely's side. "Don't even start, troll-bait! And you--" Parker shot at the troll's groin again, three shots, as focused as she could make it, before dropping to her knees next to Seely. "No longer male troll! Get your own guy!"

The troll clutched his groin and toppled to the ground, screaming when his wound started to turn to stone.

"Hey, Parker," Seely grinned up at her in a 'oh god I can't feel my legs' way. "Think you could get me out from under this guy?"
