Saturday evening, just outside the school grounds

There really was something irresistable to the trolls about the giant castle thing at the top of the hill.

I mean, come on! Trolls, castle . . . it was like a match made in heaven!

So, once they'd made lots of good headway pillaging and rampaging through the town, the trolls started on their way up the hill, aimed for the gates to the school, grinning and slathering and singing creepy, troll-y songs of glee.

John comes out of nowhere and jumps on the troll's back.

Aeryn manages to pull back. "What are you doing?" she asks.

"Helping," John says right before the trolls flings him off. John hits the ground with a thud.

Aeryn takes the opportunity to aim the gauntlet at the troll's face and fire.

That only causes the troll to screech in pain. He reaches out and tries to grab Aeryn to break things.

Aeryn knocks him away, again hitting him with everything she's got. Because she can and is not thinking clearly at the moment.

John gets up and flies in front of Aeryn, trying to body tackle the troll down.

Aeryn sighs, and shoots at another troll because she can't shoot at this one. Except nothing happens when she aims it.

Said troll clubs Aeryn on the shoulder.

She's got a little while till the drug wears off, so she takes that easily and kicks him hard in the side.

The kick staggers the troll and he kicks back, aiming for the knee.

For once the knee will not be her downfall, and she lowers her head, pushing him back hard.

The troll wraps his arms around Aeryn and tries to squash her against the ground.

She falls, but wriggles a hand free and attempts to press her keys into his temple.

And John comes over, jumps on top of both Aeryn and the trolls and digs his quarter into the back of the troll's neck.

It takes a moment but the troll turns to stone underneath John and on top of Aeryn.

"Off," Aeryn says, already trying to push the troll off of her.

John pushes the stone troll off of her and looks down, still holding his shoulder. "You okay?"

"Fine." She looks at his shoulder and says, "You?"

"I'll live," he says, holding his shoulder. "Not pissy anymore?"

"I'm not 'pissy', and there are still things that need to be taken care of," she says.

"You fucking pushed me," he says, pain clouding his head.

She glances at his shoulder and says, "You were in my way, do you need assistance with that?" all in the same breath.

"Assistance with what?"

"Your shoulder."
