Sunday Evening - Fifth Floor Common Room

After handwavy shopping for supplies and food, Peter and Isabel decorated the Common Room and hung a banner across the back saying  "Congratulations on Surviving Our First Week of Classes!"  

A big cake of whatever flavour you want to mod saying much the same thing, soda, chips, and lots of other food were laid out on the table along with poppers, kazoos, noisemakers, and other party favours and games.

In short, the Common Room was set up for a big Student Council sponsored party for all students old and new.

As this was a Student Council event, Peter thought it was best to show up and PAR-TAY. Or something like that. "Congratulations, survivors!" he cheered.

"Only, what, fifteen weeks to go and one of them is spring break?" Peter asked. "We're doing good so far."

"Soon we'll be wondering where the semester went!"

"And then we'll be in summer," Peter said. "And that's where freedom lives."

"Huzzah for vacations!"

"I'm actually thinking of using the vacation to go back home this year," Peter said. "Get away from the craziness of this place for a bit and maybe get back to the craziness I remember from back there."

"Congratulations, other Peter!" Peter called back.

"We're more than six percent done with the semester, Second Peter," Peter said. "No attacks or anything so far. Not a bad start at all."

"Exactly. The hard part's over with now."

"Well, except for exams. And those times when we do get invaded," Peter said.

"Well, you know, other than that. And random oddities that come up, clingy kittens and the like," Peter agreed.

"And tiny bunnies," Peter said. "I fear the day we get clingy manatees or something."

"Yay us! And I promise no bouncing cats tonight!"

"Thank you," Peter said. "I'm still not sure how he bounced like that, but at least I know to duck from now on."

"Duck?" Faithful's ears perked up. "Not duck duck, duck duck." Alanna told her cat and winced.

"Quack," Peter said, curious if that would get a reaction from Faitthful.

"Meow." Faithful retored. Alanna just stared.

"I have no clue what that means," Peter said. "Of course, I also don't know what my quack meant."

"Roomy," Peter said. "How did you manage that anyway?"

"Come on, you couldn't kill me if you wanted to," Peter said.

"I think I could if I really put my mind to it and had a giant robot body suit thing to control. With lasers. And a net. Not that I'd want to. You're too fun to have around, Pete."

"You couldn't get me with that either," Peter said. "But I appreciate the compliment. It's not easy finding people who can actually keep up with me."
