Lobby - All Day

Peter was down in the lobby bright and early to set up the tables for Prom ticket buying and Prom Court nominations. 

He eyed the glitter worriedly but sprinkled it around the table and over the Venetian masks. 

Then he sat behind the table with a list of juniors and seniors (because heck if he knew what classes people were in) and realised he hadn't asked Willow to Prom yet.  That needed to be remedied.

[OOC: Open for business!  Only Juniors and Seniors can buy Prom tickets though they can bring underclassmen.  Prom Court nominations are open for anyone to vote: students regardless of class.  The handbook has a list of the Juniors and Seniors.]

Cameron grinned back and bounced on his feet. "Oh yeah, big time. Got two tickets?"

"Hmmm, I don't know. Might be all sold out," Peter said as he pulled two out and wrote Cameron's name on them.

"I'd hate to see the uproar that would cause," Cameron chuckled and pulled out his wallet to pay Peter.

Peter thought for a second. "I almost want to see it now." He grinned. "But I'm not quite that cruel."

"You'd be breaking a lot of hearts," Cameron told him. "You're going, right?"

"I might be relieving a lot of the boys who are scared about asking one of our girls here too," Peter pointed out. "I assume so? But I haven't actually asked Willow yet. Are you taking Veronica of course?"

"If they don't have the guts, they don't deserve to go anyway," Cameron rolled his eyes. "And you shouldn't get too confident, you never know that someone might actually beat you to asking her out. I almost got beaten by Anders when I asked Veronica." Okay, not really as Veronica had just been joking.

Peter frowned. "No one else better ask her."

"Only one way to make sure," Cameron smirked.

The frown was still there. "You have a cell phone I could possibly borrow?"

Laughing, Cameron reached in his pocket and pulled out his cell. "Go ahead," he said, handing the telephone over.

"There," he said, handing the phone back. "Hopefully that will be good. Or she'll be mad at me for not asking in person."

"You can make it all official like later? Buy some flowers or something and ask again?" Cameron suggested, pocketing his phone.

Peter grinned. "Good idea. Thank you. And thank you for lending me your phone." He slid a pen across to Cameron. "Did you fill out your ballot?"

"No prob," he assured him and picked up the pen. "Hmmmm, this will need some thought. Are you going for the crown?"

"Crown?" Peter asked, taking a second to process. "Oh, no, I think one is enough for me."

"You don't get much choice," Cameron pointed out. He actually surprisingly quickly made up his mind and filled in the paper.

"You asked me if I was 'going for it,'" Peter pointed out in return.

"Well true," Cameron shrugged. "I'll watch my phrasing better next time," he promised.

Peter laughed. "How have you been?"

"Not too shabby," he said, wondering for a moment if he should bring up what had happened with Tyler. He shook his head. "I don't think I told you that I got into the academy, did I?"

"No, you didn't!" Peter said. He grinned and offered Cameron his hand. "Congratulations, man. That's brilliant."

Cameron chuckled and shook Peter's hand. "It means that you'll have to uphold the Stickbug's honour come May."

"It'll be an honour to do so," Peter replied. "Jamie, Peter, Greg, and I will have to recruit new blood."

Cameron smiled. "I'm gonna miss this place."
