Lobby - All Day

Peter was down in the lobby bright and early to set up the tables for Prom ticket buying and Prom Court nominations. 

He eyed the glitter worriedly but sprinkled it around the table and over the Venetian masks. 

Then he sat behind the table with a list of juniors and seniors (because heck if he knew what classes people were in) and realised he hadn't asked Willow to Prom yet.  That needed to be remedied.

[OOC: Open for business!  Only Juniors and Seniors can buy Prom tickets though they can bring underclassmen.  Prom Court nominations are open for anyone to vote: students regardless of class.  The handbook has a list of the Juniors and Seniors.]

Sokka eyed the table warily.

"So... Wait. There's a dance... thing this weekend? But I'm not allowed to go? How is THAT fair?"

"You can go with a junior or a senior," Peter offered.

Sokka bit his lip in thought. What year was Evie anyway? Then he realized it didn't matter.

"Yeah, I'm taking a Junior," he answered. "I'd like two tickets, please."

Peter shook his head. "Sorry, it doesn't work that way. The junior or senior has to purchase the tickets."

"Who makes these rules???" Sokka asked, grumpily.

"She's... sick. Yeah. Can't get out of bed. Can't I just buy the tickets for her?"

"I don't know," Peter shrugged. "I think it's a tradition here. You'll be able to go next year."

"Yeeeeeah. That's great. Look, you and I are friends, right? I mean, we ... have a class together and... stuff, right? I'll give you this" -- he surreptitiously laid a twenty-dollar bill on the table -- "just for you, if you sell me some tickets. I promise I won't tell anyone."

Peter raised an eyebrow then shook his head, caught between amused and offended. "I'm sorry, Sokka. I won't be able to make that deal."

Sokka shrugged. "Okay, okay, you're right. I had to try." He picked up the bill again. "So... You're selling the tickets all week? Just you and not someone else?"

Peter laughed. "I'm just here today. So...good luck."

Sokka pointed both index fingers at Peter and gave him a smirk and an eyebrow waggle before walking away.
