Third Floor Common Room, Saturday Afternoon

At some point, Wyatt grew bored with the blocks and orbed out of Chris's room into the common room. The TV had some cartoons on, but Wyatt changed the channel. Anyone observing might note he wasn't using the remote to do it.

He found a channel with a movie about dragons on it and clapped in delight. He liked dragons. He wanted a dragon. So he started to call it out of the TV.

But as luck would have it, he took a step backwards and stepped on the actual remote control, changing the channel to a popular children's show. And what he called out of the TV wasn't exactly a dragon.

It was a singing purple dinosaur. "I love you, you love me, we're a happy family. With a great big hug and a kiss from me to you, won't you say you love me too?"


[Open, of course. Based on canon, but Barney wasn't entirely my idea. *bats eyes innocently* ;) ]

Anders, in his ongoing futile quest to hunt down wee Bel and wee Phoebe, had stopped by his room long enough to grab a few things -- like his baseball action figures and his stuffed orca -- that might hopefully keep them occupied.

Stopping into the third floor common room to check wouldn't be a bad idea, right?

Maybe not.

"Oh my dear frakking lords, what is that thing?"

"That's just terrifying that you know the lyrics," Anders said, staring at the dinosaur. "Where did you get that -- who are you?"

Evie avoided the big purple thing again, and went and tugged on Anders' shirt-tail. "Ex-cuse me please. Can you read to me? Please?" She held up the books and looked hopeful.

Door toddles into the room looking for entertainment. Or sweets. Or entertaining things to do with sweets. She stares up at the.... thing.

"Are you a monster?"

The dinosaur sang to Door as an answer.

"Hullo Door!" Evie is reading the six books she brought with her, and waves when she see Door come in. "Hullo!"

"Door!" Carmela bounces over. "Hiii!"

Summer wanderd by the common room after detention. She stopped and stared when she spotted something weird. "What is that?"

"Barney is a dinosaur from our imagination

Barney's friends are big and small

after school they meet to play

The dinosaur sang to Summer.

Stark had stayed in his room for the morning, and hadn't spotted anyone in his common room (hey, he only has one eye and most of them are very small) and so had decided to come upstairs to see if anyone (or any food) was around.

When he saw the giant purple thing, he realized he may have made a mistake in coming here.

The second Evie saw the big purple thing, she hid behind the couch.

"Hello, little girl, would you like a hug?" the dinosaur said, peering over the couch.

Carmela wanders in to the common room. And stares up at the purple dinosaur.

"Are you a alien?"

"No, little girl, I'm a dinosaur!" it said.

Sokka bounded into the room, carrying Mr. Momohead, who was sleepy.

And stopped. And stared.

"A DRAGON!"

He marched up to Barney and confronted him. "Are you a good dragon or a bad dragon?"

Naomi came into the common room and stared in confusion at the purple dinosaur, "what's that?" she asked.

Z took one step into the common room. Then she saw the singing purple dinosaur monster. Her eyes got huge as she stared at it. "Uh-oh."

"I don't think it does anything besides sing," Stark said. He hoped that would be somewhat comforting. Of course, the singing was probably bad enough.
