Basilisk campfire - Friday evening

Johnny spent the afternoon putting most of his stuff away, the rest he spent lazily sprawling on his bed. What? Unpacking was tiring work.

Now though, he wanted to have a little fun around the campfire. And since theirs didn't seem to be lit yet, he took the opportunity to blast a few fire rays at it and set it to burning quickly.

Then, pulling up a lounge chair, he sat down, slouching a bit and stretched his long legs out in front of him. "This is the life. Now if I just had a beer."

"Haku," He replied with a bow of his head and then blinked at Johnny's hand and smiled, reaching out without loosing his balance, and giving it a small shake.

"Haku, it's a pleasure to meet you. Are you a new student?"

"It's nice to meet you Johnny," he nodded. "Are you new here too?"

"Yep, brand new and beginning to learn all I can about Fandom life." Which he was still boggling over some of the things he's heard. He needed a beer. Really.

"Where are you from?"

"The Country of Water," he said with a slightly blush. He knew that no one would have heard of it.

"You know when I got to the cabin this morning, someone told me the school had been blown up by aliens?"

"The Country of Water." That was a new one. "Um, so, a lot of water, huh?"

"Yeah, I heard the same thing. Freaky, huh? I only wished I had been here so I could help torch the little freaking space creatures."

"Just a a little," He smiled and looked very amused.

"I didn't even realize there were creatures in space."

"Dude, me either. I knew there were comets, and astroids, and cosmic storms, but creatures? No freaking way." He grinned and even though he thought he was talking to a girl, he said, "I hear some of the alien girls here are hot."

"Oh?" He laughed. "I wouldn't really know about that."

He laughed too, "No, you probably wouldn't. At least not yet. Not that I'm saying girls thinking girls are hot - okay, there are some girls who think girls are hot. You just might not be one of them." And that made total sense.

Haku sort of followed that. Kind of~~mun got it and LOVES you for it~~. "No, I don't suppose I am."

"Right," Johnny said, grinning ~~totally glad mun was understood and loved for it heee!~~ like a dork. "Course there's nothing wrong with thinking a girl is hot. Makes the world go round, you know?"

Changing the subject cause Johnny was starting to feel a little lonely for a girl, he asked Haku, "You know what workshops you're taking yet?"

"Yes," Haku nodded. "I came here to train so I'm in Explosions, how to build a better fighter, I thought I sighed up for the ninja class, but somehow I got the mercenary one instead, and for fun I'm taking arts and crafts. What about you? Are you here for any particular reason?"

"My parents thought this school would be beneficial for my educational experience. You know, the whole broaden your horizon thing?" He rolled his eyes. "I thought I was just fine. Apparently not by their standards.

"I'm in arts and crafts too though I don't know how the heck that happened." ~~because Johnny's mun is evil! muahhh~~

"It will be good to know at least one nice person then in class," Haku's smile falthered slightly. "I think I know what you mean though. My partner sent me here, but I don't know why, he told me it was a ninja trianing school."

Johnny gave Haku a warm smile, "Going to class already knowing someone is great. And hey, can't go wrong with the pretty can we?" Johnny winked at her ~~him~~

"Maybe they have ninja training? I don't know." Partner? "Are you, uh, taken? I mean, you have a boyfriend sort of thing going on?" Johnny didn't poach. Okay, maybe he did sometimes. But he didn't mean anything by it. Not really.

"Boyfriend?" He clooked confused and it took a moment for the term to dawn on him.

"Oh no! I mean, Zabuza is my working partner!" He put a smile, even if Haku wished that were different. "He's not really a 'relationship' kind of guy."

Johnny looked confused at Haku's confusion. But it didn't last long, which was a good thing.

"Ah, I get it. Being single is great, isn't it? Coming to a new school and all and not leaving anyone behind. I like doing the flirting thing." He grinned slyly at Haku; he bet her skin was really soft.

"I've never been in a relationship, so I'm afraid I wouldn't know the difference," he said and smirked.

"As for flirting," he chuckled. "the only practise I had was Zabuza... which..." Haku had to laugh at the thought of Zabuza flirting the way Johnny was and shake his head to banish it before he started giggling. "Which isn't much."

"Me either," which was sort of a half-truth sort of half-lie thing. Johnny was in a relationship when he felt like it. Sometimes those relationships only lasted overnight. When he could get away with it, that is.

He quirked a brow and leaned forward to rest his elbows on his knees, clasping his hands together, "You'll have to let me further your education in flirting then. It's really quite easy. I imagine you could grow very fond of it over time."

There was a faint blush on his cheeks, but it was difficult to tell in the fire light. Haku smiled looking highly amused as he leaned his chin on his hand and glanced over at Johnny.

"Oh will I? I don't think you've known me quite long enough to say that," he replied coyly.

"No, probably not. But flirting is flirting and who doesn't like it? Whether the reciever or giver, it's all fun."
