2nd floor common room, Saturday late morning

Johnny was just headed out of the shower when he thought to get a glass of orange juice. Heading into the common room he did just that but noticed that hey! cartoons were on!

Sitting down, he was just only going to stay for a minutes while he watched the coyote blow up stuff. He loved this cartoon!

"Managed to get away with an A grade and no detention the last time," Shawn said. "Don't really want to go pushing it."

"Just got back from Seattle last night," he continued. "Family overload."

"Smartypants," Johnny smirked, grinning.

"Oh man, long holidays for you, eh?"

"Yeah, figured after not seeing my Mom since September I kinda owed her a decent length of time at home."

"You been here for the holidays? Or home too?"

"That's nice of you, Shawn, I bet your mom appreciated it," he said thoughtfully.

"Went home for a bit, then traveled on to see and meet Savannah's family," which hadn't gone all that well. "Glad to be back though, that's for sure. Sue, my sister, tends to ride my ass about crap."

"Meeting the girlfriend's family?" Shawn nodded, "Scary, stuff."

"Siblings do tend to have that skill," he agreed. "My brother drives me nuts after more than a couple of weeks."

"Very scary. They hated me, or at least a few of them did," he shook his head. "I don't imagine going back anytime soon."

Johnny nodded. "She means well, I know she does. She's just got to get it in her head I'm not like her... " Meaning that he needed to grow up. Come on. "How old is your brother?"

"Same age as me," Shawn replied. "Which kinda makes the whole thing worse."

"Twins?" he asked, curious.

"Ah, no." Shawn pulled a face. "Danny used to be two years younger, then I went and got abducted... " He shrugged. "I came back the same age, and he was two years older. It blows."

"God, sounds like it," Johnny made a face. "And sucks to be abducted..."

"I'm kinda so used to it by now... " Shawn shrugged, "Could've been worse. Don't really think about it much when I'm back here, and the benefits outweigh everything else."

"This place does have it's benefits, doesn't it?" Johnny said, cause really, he sure didn't want to go back home.

"The main one for me being Summer." Shawn grinned, digging his hand into the bag of crisps again. "That, and the fact no-one bats an eyelid at the fact I can heal people with my hands."

Johnny laughed. "I get that, though a mad Summer is one to steer clear of," he chuckled. "That's the good thing around here - a lot of people can do a lot of different things and no one bats an eyelid. 'Course, it's kind of fun playing with the new kids."

"Haven't really met any of them yet," Shawn admitted. "Any good ones to look out for?"

"I've met a few and I'll admit to having fun breaking-brain, but totally in a nice way," he smiled.

"I'm totally with you, man," Shawn agreed with a laugh. "Gotta feel for them, in a way. I was like that when I first showed up."

"I was too but it's like you can't help it, you just have to mess with them," he laughed. "Think it sets their resolve so it's totally helping."

"And they're gonna have to get used to it eventually, right? We're helping them out."

"That's what I'm thinking. Just doing them a good deed, a service if you will. We should totally charge," he chuckled.

"I could do with some extra change..." Shawn said thoughtfully. "Could do that instead of getting a job."

Johnny laughed. "I couldn't see this little endeavor smacking me in the ass were I to actually try it. I'd have newbies all over me, wanting to, I don't know, club me to death or something."

"Yeah, I guess I might be underestimating their desire not to be freaked out by us ... not-newbies."

"Still fun," Johnny said low, grinning. "Didn't realize how bored you can get until the new kids show up."

"I have gotta go search out a couple, or something," Shawn said. "They'll all be broken already otherwise."
