As Anakin had mentioned in the ~~handwavy~~ email he had sent to students' email accounts, sometimes unplanned children couldn't be blamed on a portal or Fandom weirdness.

So he was in the front of his classroom with a series of ~~beyond thorough~~ pamphlets on contraception, abstinence, and pictures of STDs. Artoo had been given free rein to find as many ~~horrifying~~ educational videos on the subject. He was rocking back and forth in giddy anticipation of ~~scarring~~ educating the local population.

Anakin had slapped on a sign on the door welcoming people to the seminar:

I AM TOO HOT TO BE A GREAT-GRANDFATHER

And other reasons why children should remain hypothetical for a long, LONG time

(Skywalker presence mandatory)

This should go well. Really.

"And Jaina being sad!" he reminded him. "It's not what we'd be worried about. I mean, I much prefer you with an unexploded head, but I suspect that Professor Skywalker prefers things to be clean."

John snorted, "Right, because he can't clean it up with his mind, too."

That happy thought caused John to look around a little twitchily. "Wait! Wait! I'm a student! He can't hurt a student!" Much better.

Karal opened his mouth to say something that wouldn't have been at all comforting -- such as pointing out that school had actually finished on Friday and hadn't yet restarted. So, technically, John wasn't actually a student at the moment -- and closed it. "You're right," he said soothingly. "He can't hurt a student, so you're perfectly safe."

"Right," John was back to smiling. He wasn't making any of those 'break' assumptions of not being a student. "So, how was it being Gavin's wife?"

Karal facepalmed. "I wasn't his wife! We, and not even us we, some other version of we, simply adopted a son together and were raising him!"

"He was adopted?" John figured Gavin was playing CYA with that one. Literally. "I thought he looked just like you guys. Must be nurture."

Now Karal was looking at him with absolute horror. "Where else would he have come from?!"

"Well..." John didn't know if he should go there with a priest. "Magical male pregnanacy?"

Karal looked at him dubiously. "That's just silly. Corran was clearly adopted."

"So you've said," John grinned. "I probably can't say the same for Jordin and Jaryd." He was blaming alternate Jaina for the terrible names.

"And I'm going to keep saying it!" The alternative didn't bear thinking about it. "But, yes, you're probably right. I wish I'd had a chance to meet them," he said then blinked. "Jordin and Jaryd?" He emphasised the 'J' sound.

"Apparently one of us decided to do the family initials thing," John rolled his eyes. "You know, like John and Jaina."

Karal hid a smile. "It's nice, though. It can be a family tradition."

"Well, it's not like we're planning on a family," John replied quickly. "Though, it did seem to work pretty well for those kids."

"No, I don't think anyone planned what descended on us this weekend." He smiled a little. "It wasn't so bad, though."
