Camp gym (Salle)- Thursday before classes

While it would be nice to have a summer without worrying whether or not any relatives would be listening to the radio and not feeling checked up on, Jaina also realized that she was losing the two people who helped her with her lightsaber training, too. This was definitely a downside, and she new that it just meant she was going to have to make it a point of getting down here more and practicing herself. She thought she might get a lecture if she was all rusty come fall, after all.

Making sure to stick a note on the door to give warning that there was someone back here with a nice live weapon that was known for chopping off limbs, she set up three remotes to start firing, and ignoted her lightsaber to start deflecting the bolts that were going to be coming at her at pretty high speeds.


[Yes I did have to go into old posts to make sure the salle was there. Open, as I have a couple hours before work still, but then it'll be SP till this evening PST. Fair warning.]

She moved just fast enough, changing the angle of her hand at the last second to block a bit awkwardly.

"Good," Luke praised. "That move lost me a hand a while back."

"And I'd really like to keep mine," Jaina said, drawing back just enough to change her angle to something more comfortable.

"I'm not that bad a sparrer these days," Luke said. "You'll walk out with all of your parts, I promise."

"Doesn't mean I'm not going to be careful," she pointed out. And she really wasn't perfect and she knew it.

"As long as you're not too cautious in the real thing," Luke said.

Someone had trained with Anakin too long.

"Yeah, caution's not usually my strong suit," she admitted.

"The daughter of Han and Leia having problems with caution?" Luke teased. "I'm shocked."

"Jacen got all of it," she said simply.

"And what about your Anakin?" Luke asked, slowing down a little.

Jaina paused, concentrating on her movements but really trying to figure out how to phrase it without telling him about Anakin's little trip to Yavin. "A little less patient than me," she admitted.

Luke gave her a wry smile. "And how old is he now?"

"Almost seventeen. Might've missed his birthday already, with the way time works," she said.

"It took me a little longer than that to learn patience," Luke said with a grin.

For what passed for patience among Skywalkers, in any case. "I'll look forward to meeting him."

"Something tells me you'd get along," Jaina said, a little wryly.

"You'd know," Luke said, smiling and beginning to have to control his breathing to not pant too loudly.

Jaina was still holding up really well, and she decided maybe that was something to work on trainingwise. After all, if she couldn't beat someone, maybe all she had to do was outlast them.

"I would," she agreed, speeding up her moves the tiniest bit.

Luke kept up, eyes bright with approval. "Plan on doing this all day, huh?" he asked.

"I could," she replied. No, she couldn't.

"Sure you could," Luke teased, "but you'd come out of here smelling like a Gamorrean."

"That's why showers were invented," she returned.

"Is that what they're for?" Luke grinned. "I'm from Tatooine. We need these things explained."

"They involve the opposite of sand," she said simply.

"The wet stuff, right?" Luke replied.
