Third Floor Common Room - Thursday Afternoon

Chuck wasn't feeling particularly social but he was feeling hungry, which was why he was watching TV out in the common room today rather than his room. There was a Girls Next Door marathon on Chuck relaxed on the couch and caught up on what Kendra, Holly and Bridget were up to. He was dressed more casually than usual and that allowed him to take up as much of the couch as he possibly could. To help fix the hungriness, he even managed to make a bowl of popcorn without catching it on fire.

Ignore the other two burnt bags of popcorn in the trash. Shh.

"Interesting viewing habits as always, Chuck," Angela remarked with a little smirk. Making her way back to her room after class totally included stopping in at the odd common room.

"This is a great show," Chuck said, grabbing a handful of popcorn. "These girls lead rich and interesting lives."

Angela made her way a little closer, leaning against the couch to watch a moment. "And show a whole lot of cleavage while they do it." Which she thought was probably the more likely reason for Chuck's interest.

Hurley followed the smell of burnt popcorn.

"Dude, what happened here?" he said.

"Nothing," Chuck said. Absolutely nothing happened in there. See, the popcorn that was by Chuck was perfectly unburned, thank you.

"Oh," Hurley said. "Guess my nose doesn't know as much as I think it knows, sometimes."

"I think popcorn happened," Angela said, smiling at him. It was a situation she knew well. "Hey, Hurley."

"Hey Angela," Hurley said. "How ya doing?"

There was a wave from one of the couches and a very soft little yip from the puff of fur sitting next to the waver.

"Hurley. How are you?"

"Hey Liir," Hurley said. "How are you doing?"

In the quest to avoid his room, Liir and Makejoy made their way into the common room... and both noses scrunched. Makejoy looked to her daddy, who had no idea as he hadn't been in the kitchen earlier but got some clue as he took in Chuck.

He didn't trouble him over it, however, choosing instead to find a good spot to sit with the dog beside him on one of the other couches to work on his magical insanity with one of the lighter tomes. He gave Chuck a nod and a friendly wave as he didn't want to be impolite, but didn't bother the other boy.

Chuck gave Liir a quick nod as a greeting. He didn't think much of Liir but he hadn't gotten to the point where he'd be outright mean to him. Not yet, anyway.

He got points for not saying anything to distract Chuck from Kendra's boobs on the TV.

After a few minutes, during a commercial no less (which was a matter of luck as opposed to any sort of planning), he closed his books inside of one another to mark the pages and stood.

"I was going to make some sandwiches or something," he said absently, nodding to Chuck, "would you like anything? It's easier to make for two than one."

Angela smiled, offering a little wave of greeting to Liir.

"Hey, Liir," she greeted. "And hey cutie," directed more at Makejoy, that one. "First week of classes going okay?"

Makejoy certain could tell and wagged her tail. She looked to her father who, with a quick nod, said she could toddle over and say hello. This one seemed to like her.

Liir answered Angela with words, however.

"Hello. Very well, actually, and yourself? She's very friendly, incidentally. She likes just about everyone."

Amber came down a floor to see what Liir was up to, but she checked in the common room first.

"Ew. Burnt popcorn sucks. Hi, Chuck."

"Hi, Amber," Chuck said. "There's something wrong with the microwave. Took a few tries to get the popcorn right."

The microwave was perfectly fine.

"Amber," she greeted with a bright grin. "New year going alright?"

Marco was no longer a vending machine, and therefor, he was now hungry. And grumpy. He nodded vaguely at the people already in the room.

Chuck acknowledged Marco but sparing a glance at him. Look, there were boobs on the TV. Marco was lucky he got looked at.

"Oh, man, what was that smell?" That's usually the smell after Jack tries to 'experiment' with something. Occasionally, he liked to experiement, which was why he was in a different common room.

"It's just you," Chuck said, keeping his eyes on the TV. He could have thought of an insult or something but there was Girls Next Door on TV and he was distracted.

"So is this what I get to expect when we're living in the same house?" Eric asked, wandering into the common room. He was smirking, just a little, as he flopped down onto the couch. "A constant bombardment of breasts on TV?"

"On TV?" Chuck asked incredulously. "My dear brother, this is nothing compared to the amount of breasts that are going to be in my room alone."
