Second Floor Common Room - Tuesday Afternoon

Sure, there was inauguration highlights you could be watching. Sure, there was snow that could be played in. Sure, there was homework that could be done.

But why would you do any of those things when two of your gremlin-bitten classmates were destroying the common room in order to prove that their awesome new cleaning products worked?

"HELLO, FANDOM! BILLY MAYS HERE TO SHOW YOU THE CLEANING POWER OF OXYCLEAN!" Harvey pointed at a headset-clad Temari. "AND WITH ME IS MY FRIEND VINCE WHO IS HERE TO TELL YOU ABOUT THE SUCKING POWER OF THE SHAMWOW CLOTH!"

Harvey then opened up a bottle of soda and proceeded to spill it on the carpet. "SHOW 'EM, VINCE!"

[Um, yes, Harvey and Temari think they are Billy Mays and Vince the Shamwow guy. As a warning, you might get stuff spilled on your clothes just to prove the awesome cleaning power of Oxyclean]

Adjusting the headset she'd somehow managed to procure, Temari held up the magical Shamwow. "It's a shammy, it's a towel, it's a sponge! Look how fast it works!"

Harvey watched this all with the excitement of a six year old girl who got a pony for Christmas. "ARE YOU TELLING ME I WON'T HAVE TO USE PAPER TOWELS ANYMORE?"

"Never again will you have to spend money on sponges or paper towels," Temari confirmed, kneeling down to press the Shamwow to the carpet. "Look at that, half the water is sucked up in one light pressing."

"THAT IS AMAZING!" Harvey got down close to the floor so he could see the magic of Shamwow. "BUT, VINCE, WHAT ABOUT THE LIQUID THAT GOT UNDERNEATH THE CARPET?"

Jamie was still shirtless. He was also cold and wet.

He was also boggling at Harvey and Temari.

"What the hell is wrong with you guys?"

"WRONG? THERE'S NOTHING WRONG, MY WET FRIEND!" Harvey said, practically bouncing over towards Jamie. "WE'RE HERE TO TELL YOU ABOUT SOME GREAT NEW PRODUCTS THAT WILL IMPROVE YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE!"

"Wow. You are like... Louder than me," Jamie said backing up slowly. "You feeling all right?"

Ender was making his way up from the pool when he spotted Temari.

She was behaving... oddly, so he poked his room into the common room. "Are you having a seizure?"

"Did you know the average person spends up to twenty dollars a week on paper towels? Not anymore!" Temari asked, holding up the Shamwow. "Not with this baby!"

He... blinked. That was a rarity.

It took him a few seconds to realise that after all this time, he might finally be seeing a gremlin bite. "Put it down," Ender advised. He was feeling a little thrown off-balance yet.

Off to pillage the other common rooms for something better to drink, Cal found himself in the second floor one with a tilted head and an expression that lay somewhere between bewildered and oddly entertained from only just a few seconds of observation.

"Hi, it's Vince with Shamwow!" Temari greeted him. "You'll be saying wow every time you use it!"

Cal faltered for a moment, desperately trying to keep down any indication of a laugh or a grin or anything. His head nodded slightly with the effort and he struggled for something to say.

"...Wow," was what he managed.

And he hadn't even used it yet.

But seriously. Wow.

Priestly was still trying to stomp snow off his boots as he made his way past -- and then into -- the common room.

". . . Are you guys protesting something, too?"

"WE CERTAINLY ARE, SON! WE'RE PROTESTING STAINS! LIKE THE ONE ON YOUR SHIRT!" Again, he noticed that this was yet another kid who kept his clothes reasonably clean. So he took a glass filled with wine (or grape juice, whatever) and tossed the liquid at Priestly.

"There's no stain on my --" And he was liberally splashed with grape juice. "Dude, what the hell?"

It was the noise that brought Brooke into the room, just curious as to what was going on. "Hi, loud ones," she greeted them. Or, you know, one of them.

"Hi, I'm Vince with Shamwow, have you come to see the wonder of Shamwow and OxyClean?" Temari asked, ready with a can of soda to demonstrate.

"Uhhhh, no," Brooke said slowly. "Funny, you don't look like a Vince."

It really was impossible to not hear the shouting going on on the second floor, so Myn had to come down to investigate. "Is something wrong?"

"NOT ANYMORE!" Harvey said excitedly. "NOW THAT SHAMWOW AND OXYCLEAN ARE HERE, WE DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT STAINS EVER AGAIN!"

Yes, Harvey, because stains were the worst thing ever.

"Stains are a problem?" Then again, Myn remembered Cubber's impossible-to-remove marking paint and its effect on Face's...well, face. Stains were sometimes a problem.

It was hard to miss the shouting, even down the hall, so Tony came out to see what the heck was going on.

"Have you ever had to deal with a spill without any paper towels?" Temari asked, far too chipper about this.
