5th Floor Common Room, Friday Evening -- PARTY

There were lots of delicious smells coming from the fifth floor common room, for Ronan, faced with hosting a potluck, had decided that he couldn't but go overboard with his own dishes: a chicken curry, thick, with lots of vegetables, and pot of vegetarian chili for those who preferred their food... not made of meat.

Ronan didn't quite understand the concept, but he liked vegetables anyway, so it all worked out.

There was a small sign posted on the door, announcing: "Ronan's Birthday Potluck! All Welcome."

John had been going to the kitchen for a bowl for his Cheetos when he saw the setup. And then he figured, as long as he was here, he might as well stay for a while, and dumped the Cheetos into a bowl for everyone's benefit.

Jaina had expected John to actually return with the bowl and eventually wandered down to the common room, on the lookout for the tall boy with the hair. Aha, party, that explained it.

Tahiri needed something to do (anything to put off double-checking that translation she'd been asked to look over, and the offending datapad was on the floor of her closet at the moment), and the food smelled good, so she wandered on in.

Don't mind her looking a little fidgety.

Liir was actually just following the noise out of curiousity, but once he saw the sign he skittered back to his room. A ribbon made his last bottle of wine into a gift and he had plenty of cookies of all kinds to bring for the potluck part.

After getting into with Romeo earlier, Hannibal had showered, grateful that Romeo had gone for his stomach instead of his face and that his new bruises were easily hidden between a t-shirt and a sweater.

He just had to walk really slow. And stay still. And hope that it wasn't noticeable.

Ino wasn't entirely sure she was in the mood for a party, but she slipped in and found herself a comfortable place on the couch, and contented herself with people watching. If they wanted to talk to her, well, she never exactly turned down company.

If nothing else, it was nice just listening to a bunch of people talking about things.

Turtle wasn't much one for cooking, really. She did know she could do sandwiches, though, so that plate of cute little finger sandwiches with the crusts cut off and little party toothpicks with green detail on them?

Oh, yeah. Those were hers. They were awesome.

Of course Turtle brought a birthday present.

It was the same present everyone got. Tucked inside a St. Patrick's Day card (what? It was funny, and she had a ton of them left over, anyway) was a $25 gift certificate for Turtle & Canary.
