Dorm Pool, Tuesday Evening - PARTY

The day had flown by, and before she knew it, Hinata and Amber, who’d cut out of rehearsal early (small sacrifices), were down in the pool area and setting up the decorations for Turtle’s (hopefully) surprise birthday party. Streamers and balloons in gold, green, and purple matched the tablecloths, disposable plates and utensils. Colour co-ordination was a go.

It took them awhile to get things all set up, but eventually it was accomplished, and a sign at the door to the pool proclaimed ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY TURTLE!!!’ in, of course, green and gold glitter.

"Yes, well," he said and actually blushed a little. "Let's hope she thinks so too, right?"

"She'd be crazy not to, and Angela is anything but crazy," she said, enjoying the blush.

"She's a little crazy but it's the good kind," he said and grinned. "Just like you. And I like people like that."

"Okay, yah, that kind of crazy is super cool," she agreed, and blushed just lightly. She was the good kind of crazy and that totally worked. "I believe in being easy. Not that kind of easy... just go with the flow and have fun. Be a dork once in a while." A slight pause. "I mean, I'd be easy with my boyfriend if he let me -"

"You're very easy to talk to," Hannibal said and laughed at her. "And I'm sure Liir appreciates the other type of easy. As he should. If he doesn't, I might have to check him for insanity."

Amber wiggled her fingers in the water. "He doesn't think like... that." Grumble. "He's really... polite. Um."

"Ah, a do gooder," Hannibal said, nodding. "I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, right?"

Amber bit her lip. She was thinking about that.

"No. Yes. No... I mean we've... all evening... once. I've been introduced to it! I need it, Hannibal. I didn't get to try everything yet and how do I say that to a do gooder?"

"I think you can just tell him," Hannibal decided. "Most guys...they're not going to be upset to hear that someone they care about wants to be with them. Trying some different stuff might take some persuasion if he's new to things too but I don't think he's going to get upset."

"I hope not. I'm not even demanding when I so want to be. I just want to rip his clothes off and... and I'm sure you don't want to hear about what goes on in my head," she laughed, ducking her head somewhat.

"It's okay, I don't mind, I don't embarrass easily," Hannibal said. "I think he'd like hearing that. I would love to hear that if I were him."

"You wouldn't be worried about your clothes," she said, grinning impishly. "Liir, on the other hand, would be devastated that I ruined his. He would be horrified dare I even mention it. But I think I might just be wicked enough to try. It's kind of hot, isn't it? Maybe it'll work him up and he'll have to take me right there... against the wall... mmm." Oh, happy place.

"Against a wall is a fun, fun place," said Hannibal. "Very, very different. I wouldn't want to be too explicit at Turtle's party but it's a good place."

Right. Party. Amber bit her lip.

"I've been trying to figure out how it works, you know? The bending, the shifting... but okay, I don't want you to have to say anything else." A beat. "That's a lie, I do want you to, but I get where we're at."

"Let's just say it's all about the angles," Hannibal said. "Different positions, different angles, different spots."

She raised both brows. "Wow. I wish Liir were here. I'd drag him away right this very second."

"Maybe he'll show later?" Hannibal asked. "Could still get the chance."

"Maybe. One can only hope," she replied with an overly dramatic sigh, then a wink for him.
