Third floor common room, Monday evening

Knowing she was going to be taking another trip home, Jaina had spent most of her day handwavily prepping: flight sim, lightsaber drills (she remembered last time, thanks), and then was trying to catch up on reports in her room till her comlink finally began driving her crazy.

Knowing she was more or less going to be able to answer all those calls personally anyway, she took her datapad out to the common room to work, and after a couple minutes of silence turned on the TV for background noise.

So it was her own fault that she kept looking up surreptitiously from her work to see what was going on in the Space Battles movies. What? It was interesting.

"Thank you for not being desperate enough to end up on the television by being insane," she told him.

"Dude, I'm not crazy," Hurley said. "I'm totally content to avoid, like, stupid fame like that."

"I never understood why people did that," she confessed. "Boredom? Attention-seeking? Mental disorder?"

"D, all of the above," Hurley said. "That, or they actually think it somehow lets their team win."

Jaina looked confused. "How would it do that?"

"Uhhhh," Hurley said, not having a good answer. "Magic?"

Jaina considered this. "That actually makes about as much sense as anything."

"You never know," Hurley admitted. "They could be, like, voodoo fans."

All of a sudden there were memories of voodoo gremlins, and Jaina decided, "If there were, I could deal with never ever knowing about it."
