Third floor common room, Monday evening

Knowing she was going to be taking another trip home, Jaina had spent most of her day handwavily prepping: flight sim, lightsaber drills (she remembered last time, thanks), and then was trying to catch up on reports in her room till her comlink finally began driving her crazy.

Knowing she was more or less going to be able to answer all those calls personally anyway, she took her datapad out to the common room to work, and after a couple minutes of silence turned on the TV for background noise.

So it was her own fault that she kept looking up surreptitiously from her work to see what was going on in the Space Battles movies. What? It was interesting.

Firekeeper flopped down on a couch and examined the screen with interest. "Am still not sure what to think of ships that fly," she admitted.

"Think they're astral, because it's true," she advised. "Though I may be biased."

Being friends with Tahiri meant she didn't need to ask what "astral" meant, at least. "Why biased?" she asked curiously.

"I fly ships for a living," she said. She thought that was pretty biased, yes.

Firekeeper thought about this, and decided it was probably much like how Derian felt about horses. "Have never beened on such," she admitted. Because that wasn't obvious enough from the comment about not being sure what to think of them.

"That'll probably change if you stick around long enough," Jaina told her. "There's a couple of the on island even."

"As long as is no like boats," Firekeeper said dubiously completely unware that she's signed up for Flight and Flying, mwahaha.

"Not a boat person?" she inferred.

"Being on such make me feel sick," Firekeeper admitted. That was enough reason to dislike them even without the addition of her first experience with a boat involving being kidnapped. Wolfnapped. Whatever.

"They do have medication for that," she pointed out, not sure she'd actually know. "If you were willing to try it."

"I was once maked a mixture of herbs that they say would help," Firekeeper said. "It do so a little. You think this 'medication' would be working better?"

"Maybe. I know there was some on the cruise to keep people from getting sick. I get the feeling a lot of people might not have enjoyed the trip otherwise."
