Third floor common room, Monday evening

Knowing she was going to be taking another trip home, Jaina had spent most of her day handwavily prepping: flight sim, lightsaber drills (she remembered last time, thanks), and then was trying to catch up on reports in her room till her comlink finally began driving her crazy.

Knowing she was more or less going to be able to answer all those calls personally anyway, she took her datapad out to the common room to work, and after a couple minutes of silence turned on the TV for background noise.

So it was her own fault that she kept looking up surreptitiously from her work to see what was going on in the Space Battles movies. What? It was interesting.

"Can you be more specific?" Zayne asked.

"Space Battles," Hurley said. "They're awesome."

"Fictional space battles, right?" Zayne asked. He was aware of several real space battles that weren't all that great.

"Yeah," Hurley said. "It's a series of movies."

"Okay, good," Zayne said. "As long as it isn't documentaries."

"Oh, no," Hurley said. "This is definitely all fiction, dude."

"That's a relief," Zayne said. "It's still kind of weird to me that they'd make films like this here, though. I know people who do the kind of things they show in this movie every day. And a movie on a world this far away comes close manages to get it this right? What are the odds?"

"Whoa, really?" Hurley said. "That's... duuuude. That's weird. It's that close?"

"It's close enough. People flying space ships, doing heroic things," Zayne said. "I just didn't think Earth would be able to get this close before I came here."

"The scouting report I had on this planet was wrong in so many ways."

"Dude, what did the report say?" Hurley asked.

"No Jedi. No intergalactic travel. No contact with extraterrestrials," Zayne said. "The only thing it really got right is the location."

"Well, my Earth is like that," Hurley said. "This island is kinda... special on that front, dude."

"I think that's the main thing the report missed," Zayne said.

"Heh, yeah," Hurley said. "At least, uhhh, it makes things more fun?"

"Oh, definitely," Zayne said. "I haven't been able to complain since I got over the initial surprise."

Except for a certain zombie incident which Hurley was doing his best to repress.
