Third floor common room, Monday evening

Knowing she was going to be taking another trip home, Jaina had spent most of her day handwavily prepping: flight sim, lightsaber drills (she remembered last time, thanks), and then was trying to catch up on reports in her room till her comlink finally began driving her crazy.

Knowing she was more or less going to be able to answer all those calls personally anyway, she took her datapad out to the common room to work, and after a couple minutes of silence turned on the TV for background noise.

So it was her own fault that she kept looking up surreptitiously from her work to see what was going on in the Space Battles movies. What? It was interesting.

[It's Star Wars Day, I had to. I also felt the need to mod cable. Open CR is open!]

"What does 'astral' mean?" Zayne asked, looking confused. Of course it was astral. It had to do with stars, and it was called Space Battles. Clearly it meant something else here.

Zayne, unfortunately, wasn't up on the slang from four thousand years after his time.

Firekeeper shrugged. "I think is meaning 'really good'," she informed him. "Tahiri say this a lot too."

There was something incredibly odd about Firekeeper, of all people, to be educating someone about slang.

"Really?" Zayne asked. "Sorry, I'm really behind with the language. Anyway, it seems pretty astral to me so far. It's a good start."

Firekeeper snorted. "Is not often I am knowing more than someone else of human language," she observed out loud.

"I'm just glad you could help me out. I actually know less about a lot of things than a lot of people," Zayne said.

"Am always asking questions of human ways," Firekeeper said with a shrug. "So, is fair I answer one when I can."

"Still, if I manage to get people in my home saying it, you're getting the credit for it," Zayne said.

If Firekeeper bothered to pay attention to things like timelines and time-travel, the paradox might well make her head hurt. As it was, though, she didn't pay attention to such things and in fact had no idea what a paradox even was.

"Am thinking you should try," she decided. "Perhaps we start... a trend?" she wasn't entirely sure that was the right word, but it seemed close enough.

It had thousands of years to fall into disuse anyway... "I'll see what I can do. I'll be going home for a visit in a couple weeks. I'll have to see if I can get it started. Maybe when I go back a month later, everyone will be using it."
