Main Campfire, Friday Evening

Once the sun went down, a rather spectacularly large bonfire was lit for the party. No, Merlin was not aware it was now celebrated on the first of May. Calenders change, after all.

There was even a crudely constructed maypole there in case anyone felt the need to dance around it. They did so at their own peril, of course. The mockery that may ensue would probably be great.

Ben nodded. "Different galaxy," he said. "A couple days' flight...that way," he added, pointing.

"I'll take your word for it." Diana said, then it gave it back since making her companion mute would be rude. "How did you get here? UFO?"

"It was identified, so...no," Ben said, blinking.

"Did anyone on the ground think it was a UFO?" Diana asked. That would explain a lot of things.

Ben scoffed. "We're a little sneakier than that," he said.

"That would have explained so much." Diana said thoughtfully. "Who are you anyway?"

"I'm Ben Skywalker," he replied. "You?"

"Diana Hansen." Diana replied. "How did you end up going to school in a different galaxy?"

"My galaxy was at war," Ben said. "My parents decided sending me as far away as possible from that was a good idea."

"My parents think like that too." Diana admitted. "I had to get very good at sneaking around." It helped that she was a Keeper and her parents were only Cousins.

"My parents could read my mind," Ben said. "Literally. Sneaking around was kind of pointless."

"My mom can call any phone near me." Diana offered. "It's not as bad, but still annoying."

"You don't carry a comm with you?" Ben replied.

"Sometimes I don't answer it." Diana said. And for very large values of sometimes, she was correct.

"Oh, that would get me in a lot of trouble," Ben replied. "If I'm in a firefight or something, it's okay, but if Dad is calling, I better answer."

"It's part of the reason I'm here." Diana admitted. "What kind of firefight?"

"The kind where people were shooting at me," Ben replied. "It happened sometimes. Jedi aren't exactly the stay at home type."

"Do you fly a space ship?" Diana asked, really curious.

"A couple of them," Ben replied. "My family are pilots."

Diana was actually honestly impressed. "Do you fly?"

He nodded. "Mostly shuttles these days," he said. "My father's the fighter pilot."

"We don't have aliens where I'm from." Diana informed him. They did have pretty much everything else.

"I'm not an alien," Ben said. "I'm human. Just from another galaxy."

"So like the other definition of an alien?" Diana checked.

Ben nodded. "In my galaxy it used to be very important to clarify."
