Main Campfire, Friday Evening

Once the sun went down, a rather spectacularly large bonfire was lit for the party. No, Merlin was not aware it was now celebrated on the first of May. Calenders change, after all.

There was even a crudely constructed maypole there in case anyone felt the need to dance around it. They did so at their own peril, of course. The mockery that may ensue would probably be great.

"Why would I ask you for a skirt for his girlfriend?" Effy pointed out logically. Skirts for girls, she could do. She was wearing one. Ones that would fit a man, not so much.

"Perhaps he was having a difficult time in choosing and I don't know, lady Stonem! It seems so odd. I cannot fathom a man wearing a skirt unless he is Priest."

"Dinah helped me with my clothing." A beat. "Do I look like a man who would wear a skirt?"

Effy shrugged, stretching her bare legs out to warm them nearer the fire.

"You wear a lot of ruffles," she said. "It was worth asking."

"Ruffles?" Apparently someone needed a lesson in Princely Attire! Ah-hah.

He grinned wide at her, ready to quit the subject of skirts and ruffles.

"Do you like the cabins, lady Stonem?"
