Main Campfire, Friday Evening

Once the sun went down, a rather spectacularly large bonfire was lit for the party. No, Merlin was not aware it was now celebrated on the first of May. Calenders change, after all.

There was even a crudely constructed maypole there in case anyone felt the need to dance around it. They did so at their own peril, of course. The mockery that may ensue would probably be great.

That would be Francine not staring at Morgana's dress -- or, really, pretty much the whole package -- with almost the same expression as Merlin. This time, sadly for any appearance of non-dorkitude she'd managed to project so far, she didn't manage to hold back the "Wow," until Morgana was out of earshot.

Morgana turned around at the sound and beamed. "Francine, hello!" she said. "You look lovely this evening."

Gorgeous and blind nice. Merlin's description of her as not entirely real was seeming more accurate by the second. "You look amazing," she said, in lieu of thank you because it felt ridiculous in comparison.

Morgana smiled at the compliment. "Have you been enjoying yourself so far?"

Francine nodded, looking around the campground. "There's tons of people. Who knew Merlin was good at throwing parties?" Though of course, maybe Lady Morgana did, Francine supposed. Like Arthur, she'd known him longer.

"Merlin seems to have many skills, but this is one I wasn't aware of," she said. "It helps that the people here seem to enjoy parties. Not that that's a strange trait."

"Some people think days that end in Y are a good excuse for a party," Francine answered with a small grin. "Though right now is a good time for them. The hard classes are over, and summer's more about the fun stuff."

"So it seems. Are the classes much harder during the other months?" she asked. "I must admit, neither of my activities seem as though they'll be terribly taxing."

"Well, they're longer," Francine answered. "They run for months at a time instead of just a few weeks. Some of them are pretty easy - it doesn't really get easier than Food Appreciation - but there's things like history and physics, too."

Morgana's first instinct was to say that those sounded boring, but she had a feeling that would be impossible in this place. "Harder, but still enjoyable?" she asked.

"I've liked mine!" Francine grinned when she added, "Arthur wasn't a fan of management theory, apparently."

"If that involved being told how to lead, I wouldn't be surprised," Morgana replied. "Arthur has plenty of his own ideas and is convinced they're all the ones with the most merit."

"He said there wasn't any management involved at all," Francine said with a shake of her head. "It still sounds more his style than fashion design, though."
