Wendy the Werewolf Stalker Campfire [Wednesday Evening]

It was beautiful outside this evening, and so Emma found herself out by her cabin's campfire; cigarette in one hand as she balanced her notebook on her knees. It was easier to work on her creative writing assignment out here than in the cramped quarters of the cabin, and if she didn't like what she wrote, well, she could always burn it.

And really, there was no downside to lighting things on fire.

Coming across on a campfire, Jean made a face at what Emma was doing. "That's a gross habit," She announced, absolutely being that obnoxious non-smoker.

"So is offering unsolicited criticism," Emma retorted automatically. "Yet you don't see me being a bitch about it."

Jean just stared at her for a moment. Even she saw the hypocrisy in that one.

And that was saying something.

Emma just smirked and took a long drag of her cigarette. "Did you get lost, Jeannie?" she asked sweetly. "I'm rather sure you aren't one of the girls I'm sleeping with."

Not dirty, but that was way too much fun to say.

"I'm not allowed to say hello?" Jean asked, being snotty now.

"You are," Emma allowed, "but in that case, one generally starts with 'hello' before critiquing the hostess, and even then it's generally considered polite to wait until I turn my back before you start snipping about all my horrid little indulgences."

Jean just rolled her eyes. "I'm sure you're only polite when you say hello."

Oooh, cute redhead he didn't know (though he was fairly certain she was in some class or other with him). Jack smiled at her a bit. "We haven't met yet, have we?"

Jean grinned and shook her head. "I don't think so. I'm Jean."

"Jack," he returned, with a grin of his own. "This isn't my cabin, of course. I'm over in Peter & Peter, but I saw Emma and I realized I hadn't bothered her much lately."

"I'm over in Lightning Bug," Jean offered. "You know Emma well?"

"Since we got here," he nodded. "We were TAs together and hit it off. Why, do you?"

"Oh! No, no. I only met her when I first arrived."

Oh, hell, she was being chatty with the other people there, Valentine figured she might as well start in with the redhead, too. She smiled, giving her a wave. "Hey. You're in a few of my classes, right?"

"I think so," Jean replied, far too perky to exist. "I'm Jean."

"Valentine," she offered, meeting the perkiness easily with a smile and thinking crap, and here I wanted to avoid the perkiness by staying away from the main fire.... "And it's...creative writing and phys ed, I think." Her nose appropriate wrinkled on that last one, tongue making a brief appearance to enhance the distaste.

Jean made one as well. "At least the TA is cute?" Someday, when she found out about certain things, that statement would disturb her.

And it would be the sort of revelation that Valentine would get a lot of enjoyment out of, if only she knew as well.

"But taken," Valentine said. "At least the option to ogle is still there, though. Especially since Angela doesn't seem to have any issues at all with other girls ogling."

"He is?" Jean pouted for a moment.

"It's better than looking at the teacher," She said in a whisper. As if he could hear that. "I know him form back home."

Kinda. It was like Bobby!

Having missed the opening volley between Jean and Emma, Karla sat down and flashed the unfamiliar girl a smile. "Kiss kiss," she said. "I'm Karla. I'm guessing you're new? Or an older student just back from vacation?"

"Jean," She replied, offering a hand. "I am new, just this month, actually."

"Welcome, then. I just arrived in May, so I'm only slightly further down the road to recovery from all the Fandom's oddness than you are."

"Everyone has told me about it," Jean assured her. Even if more than a bit she didn't quite believe. Well, not until she saw it herself.

"Then I won't comment other than to say, 'no, really, they're right,'" Karla said with a laugh. "May I hope that you fared better than I did during the day of singing?"

She called in a bag of marshmallows and a handful of wooden skewers (purchased at T&C's of course!) and offered them to Jean. "Marshmallow?"
