Lawn of the Dorms | Late Late Late Sunday Night | April 18

After last weekend, the students of Fandom were probably hoping for a nice, lazy weekend before their week filled with finals. Unfortunately, it could never be easy for people who lived on the island. Where there was once still and quiet, there was now a shrill fire alarm going off, blaring loud enough to even be heard by the deepest of sleeper.

Time to evacuate the dorms, students! And, once everyone started spilling out onto the lawn, they'd find that Fandom had another treat for them. It was warm, that was good, but at some point that night it'd started raining. And it wasn't just ordinary rain. It was raining chocolate syrup and occasionally hailing down marshmallows.

Just another typical late night out on the lawn of the dorms for a fire drill! Hope you brought your umbrella!

[open fire drill! after radio so NFB!]

Which would be why Jean shrieked as soon as she exited the building. "My hair!"

Not to mention her pajamas were now ruined.

Now, normally Merlin liked chocolate. And marshmallows.

Jut not, you know, hurtling down from the sky at him. So, this made for the lest impressive show of Fandom's hatred of all it's inhabitants.

Could have at least given a bit of warning so people could get a bucket out. If they were so inclined.

So, he stood off to the side, arms bundled up against his chest, cursing the island for all he was worth.

Chocolate falling from the sky?

Now this was new for Clark.

"Anybody got some graham crackers?" Clark couldn't help but wonder, catching a marshmallow in his hand and letting the chocolate rain coat it before he stuck the combination in his mouth.

There were worse ways to spend a fire drill.

Bod hadn't ever experienced a fire drill let alone a fire drill complete with sweet things raining down from the sky.

Thus, he was out there in an old, loose pair of pants (he'd missed the shirt on the way out) and trying to take cover under a small tree. It wasn't really working and he saw a long shower in his future.

Chuck? Was not very happy. Rain was one thing, but syrup was another. Luckily he had been in Fandom long enough to know there was always time to grab an umbrella, so he wasn't completely covered in chocolate. These pajama pants were going to have to be thrown away though.

He hated this town sometimes.

Dan did not have the foresight to grab an umbrella or a shirt when he left the dorms, unfortunately. He was thankful it wasn't cold but he was definitely going to need a shower when he got back in.

He held his hands out to grab some marshmallows, figuring he might as well make the best out of a bad situation.

When the fire alarm started going off, Alex almost wasn't surprised. Seemed his luck would go from bad to shit in the span of a few days if it could. This time, he grabbed both a hoodie and an umbrella.

He might have looked silly, standing out there in boxers and a hoodie while holding an umbrella but he didn't care. This way meant he could smoke and avoid getting rained on by freaking chocolate and marshmallows.

This fucking island, man. Such a bitch.

Leia was unfortunately wearing white, as she did. White which was now ruined due to chocolate stains, which made for a very cranky princess.

Raven, on the other hand, was in black (as she did), so the chocolate wasn't as noticeable. But she had been through enough of these that she had brought a (black) umbrella with her. There was likely room for more beneath it.

See, this? This kind of stuff? Is what Lois was going to miss after graduation. She didn't care about the ruined pj's or the fact that her hair was going to be a bitch to wash later. It was raining chocolate! This was awesome!

Emma hadn't gone outside immediately, since she'd needed to find (and try to catch!) Beka, and had happened to glance out the window.

And since the dorm didn't seem to be in imminent danger of burning down, she'd taken the time to pull on rain galoshes and pick up an umbrella. And grab her cigarettes. She didn't care how ridiculous she looked, she was not getting chocolate in her hair.

[I flee for work, back around dinner!]

"Is it that obvious?" Chuck asked, frowning. "It's disgusting out here."

Okay, so Bobby could have just iced up and thus avoided the whole sticky situation, but by the time he made it outside there were too many people around who might see him.

He did, however, freeze his hair since that wasn't really noticeable, except for the light coating of frost that was soon covered by (somewhat solidified) chocolate syrup anyway.

Sure, his clothes were all sticky, but at the moment, Bobby was far more concerned with holding up marshmallows until they got covered in chocolate syrup.

Arthur was not best pleased, having been forced out of a fairly comfortable position in order to come down here.

He could cope fairly well with being out in his boxers, but that wasn't doing his mood any favours.

For the most part, Jonas didn't mind fire drills. He knew they were necessary to prepare for potentially dangerous situations but even he had to be a little grumpy about stepping out into a mess of chocolate and marshmallows.

He hadn't picked up his umbrella so his pants and shirt were getting good and soaked and he was not pleased.

[personal profile] bitchprince 2010-04-18 05:32 pm (UTC)(link)
"I swear this happens solely so they can torment us," Arthur groused, petulantly.

Warren was outside, clad in... pants. A nighttime wardrobe choice that he was seriously regretting, all things considered.

"I'm going to be washing chocolate out for the rest of my life," he grumbled, lifting one wing upward to at least shield his head from the worst of the chocolate.

[identity profile] unborn-renegade.livejournal.com 2010-04-18 05:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. Yeah.

This was great.

Jak hadn't even bothered to leave his room at first, but the noise just kept up, so he'd yanked on a simple tunic and stomped outside. He was going to break something.

"At least the school year is almost over?" Merlin replied, trying for optimism.

"You'd think after being here so long you would realize that there's always time for an umbrella," Chuck said. No, he was not about to offer Hannibal space under the umbrella when he was all gross and chocolate-y.

Ender'd invested in an umbrella since the first time, so he was safely protected from the weather. He stood outside in his underwear, slightly annoyed, but otherwise peaceful.

When a marshmallow bounced off his palm, he just sighed, and said, "Figures."

//Bloody naffin' hell!//

Yep. Jono realized a moment too late that he was stepping outside into chocolate. Sticky, falling chocolate. Which he might not have minded so much, except for the simple fact that he couldn't even appreciate the chocolate the way that chocolate was intended to be appreciated.
