Third Floor Common Room [Monday evening]

Jaime had popcorn, chips and salsa, and candy corn (hey, it was that time of year!) spread out and was flopped back on the couch sorting through a small stack of DVDs. He wasn't entirely sure what he wanted to... Aha!

Giant robots with over-the-top (if somewhat awkward) CGI effects were just what the doctor ordered. Not that the movie was really good, but Jaime wasn't looking for good.

And at least it wasn't the sequel.

"I didn't give it to you, I threw it at you!" She sighed. "Which means it's still mine. Weapons 101."

"Wait... there's a weapons 101 class?" Jaime wouldn't be surprised at all, given the island.

[heromaniac]

"If there isn't, there totally should be." Momoko laughed and bit into another piece of candy. From the bowl this time. "I know a lot of people who'd sign up for that one, just because it sounds cool."

"Oh, but you're not in it. So how would you know the rules about throwing things, huh?"

[heromaniac]

"Ah! Not fair! You tricked me." Momoko huffed and narrowed her eyes, reaching over to pinch him. "Maybe I wasn't talking about a class?"

[weldedtomyspine]

"Ooooh, and now you're going to try to wriggle out of it, huh?"

[heromaniac]

"Of course!" She replied, grinning brightly. "What did you think I would do?"

[weldedtomyspine]

"Pretty much exactly that," he admitted with a chuckle.

[heromaniac]

"So why are you complaining, then?" Momoko laughed and shifted to bump against his shoulder.

[weldedtomyspine]

"Well, what did you think I would do?" he shot back.

[heromaniac]

Exactly that, of course.

"Oh no, you're not getting me to admit anything!" Momoko flat out refused and bit into another candy. "You'll totally turn it around and find some way to tease me about it."

[weldedtomyspine]

"You think you have to admit something for me to tease you?" Someone was clearly confused.

[heromaniac]

"Well, something more to tease me about," she admitted, waving a piece of candy corn. "I keep forgetting how totally mean you are."

[weldedtomyspine]

"I know. I'm positively hateful, huh?"

He leaned back and smirked. "I don't even know why you hang out with me."

[heromaniac]

"And a grouch! Always complaining." She tried for a solemn nod. "I totally don't understand it myself why I do. Maybe it's a spell! Are you an evil sorcerer too?"

[weldedtomyspine]

"Haven't you noticed my goatee?" You know, from those days when he forgot to shave. "That's a sure sign of evil, isn't it? I don't know about the sorcerer part, though."

[heromaniac]

"A goatee?" Momoko tapped her own chin, mulling that over. "That does prove you're evil, but I think evil sorcerers have to wear mustaches. And pointy hats. Do you have a pointy hat?"

"Did you happen to see where I put my hat, then?"

[heromaniac]

Momoko sighed. "See? You are an evil sorcerer. I'm obviously only hanging out with you because of an evil spell. That's totally it. I should look for an antidote, huh?"

[weldedtomyspine]

Jaime laughed. "You should. Fortunately I'm sure someone around here can help you with that."

[heromaniac]

"Well, not this week! Everyone's gone on that stupid trip. I'm going to have to put up with you at least until they come back."

[weldedtomyspine]

"Well, that'll probably give me time to come up with a spell to make you forget you figured all this out."

[heromaniac]

"Ooooh! You're sneaky as well as evil." She sighed melodramatically. "I am totally stuck with you, aren't I?"

[weldedtomyspine]

"Until you get some better friends, yeah."

He leaned over to drop an arm around her shoulder. "Suck to be you, huh?"

[heromaniac]

"Well, it could be worse; you could force me watch sports. That would truly be evil. Plus you make good food and own a movie with giant fighting robots." And he was comfortable to lean against while watching it, too.
