3rd Floor Common Room, Thursday Night

Johnny didn't see what the big deal was with today. Oooh, people told the truth. So what? He liked telling the truth! He did it all the time! He was awesome. Reed was a douche. Gwen was cool. Alana was hot. He didn't have many male friends because he never truly felt deep down that he really belonged after spending his entire youth out of place. He had no idea how to commit to anything but superheroing. This pizza was delicious and there was plenty for everyone. This Kate Hudson movie was wonderful, she was such a good actress.

Kate Hudson was where he drew the line. "I really want this channel to change so I can save face if anyone comes in. I DON'T KNOW WHY THE CHANNEL WON'T CHANGE! I'd totally bang Kate Hudson."

Okay, maybe THAT was how he could save face if anyone came in.

Hanna had spent most of the day in her room, or out in the Preserve. But she could smell the pizza from the Fourth Floor Common Room, and it seemed like a good time to practice socializing.

"That smells delicious."

"It's okay, but it's not like there are many options around here," Johnny said. "I don't know you yet. You're kinda hot."

Hanna blinked at the slang, but smiled tentatively in greeting. "I'm not certain how you mean that. I'm not good at American slang yet." Which she wouldn't usually divulge, but it seemed ... necessary? She fetched a plate and said, "I'm Hanna. I rather like pizza, just not as much as Moroccan food. What are you watching?"

"A dumb movie that I enjoy more than I really want to admit," Johnny said. "But today's the day for that. I'm Johnny."

Don't mind Gwen, who was just going to silently slump into a chair.

With duct tape over her mouth. Yep, she was entirely that big a drama queen.

Hanna gave Gwen a worried look, and asked, "Are you all right? You don't look all right."

Was the duct tape a sign? It was probably the duct tape.

And because she still had to tell the truth even if she couldn't talk, she gave a thumbs down sign.

"Do you-- need help removing the tape?"

Although given her recent conversation with Johnny, it occurred to her that this girl was attempting to maintain some discretion.

"I'm Hanna. This is a very odd day."

"Really, Gwen?" Johnny asked. "Isn't that a little over the top? Not that I mind, I'm just entertained."

It was hard to pout at him with her mouth covered, but she was trying. It probably looked more like puppy dog eyes, but that was okay by her.

"Have some unfortunate truth incidents earlier?" Johnny checked.

"Oooh, pizza."

If Rapunzel was a little less enthused about that than she normally might be normally, well. It was kind of a rough day. But as tempting as it was to just go hide in her room, she kind of still wanted to be around a bunch of other people going through this, too. Which was good, because there were people in here she knew! (Even though she was going to give Gwen a wide berth after this afternoon's hugging confessional. Not that Rapunzel was averse to those things, but Gwen had jewelry in her face and probably didn't normally do that a lot.)

"Is she Kate Hudson?" She was just going to tilt her head at the television for a minute, thoughtfully, if they were making assessments about her. "She's pretty, but this movie seems dumb."

"Yes to the question and both statements," Johnny said. "I can't change the channel for some reason, but even if I could, I'd find an excuse not to, though."

"Even though the movie's dumb?" she asked skeptically. "I mean, I guess that's fair. She is really pretty."

She went to grab herself some pizza, and added, "And we could maybe use a little dumb today, anyway."

"I've used that as a pickup line before," Johnny said. "And it worked!"

"No one is acting as if they have any sense," Hanna observed, nodding hello to Rapunzel. "But she is very pretty, and I suppose we feel intelligent by comparison to this script."

Said in a mild and resigned tone of someone who didn't really want to change the channel either.

"So we're supposed to feel smart because she's dumb, and jealous because she's pretty?" Rapunzel wondered. "Or just enjoy her prettiness? Because this movie is already making me think a lot more than I thought it was initially going to."

"I don't think I feel jealous." Hanna was not the best with emotions, but she was almost certain that wasn't what it was. "I like her hair. And her smile. But I also keep thinking of different things she could do to make the situation less dishonest. I haven't seen enough movies, is this typical?"

Alana eyed Johnny carefully. Hmmm.

"So nothing we say today counts, right?" she asked carefully. "Not like I have so many secrets from you, but I need to know nothing's gonna haunt me."

"That depends on what you might say. And now I'm really curious," Johnny said with a grin.

"Ugh,it's all boring stuff like how having a boyfriend scares me?" Alana checked, crinkling her nose. "Or mean stuff, like how you should throw out that blue shirt you like 'cause it's basically a rag?"

"Hey, I already told the new girl over there that I'm afraid I'm going to screw things up, so you're safe there," Johnny said. "And that's why I like that shirt. I tell myself it's part of the charm."

[This era of Johnny's life did feature questionable clothing choices, so it's fair. :D]

"Hello, Alana." Hanna waved hello, smile widening. "Have some pizza. It does not cause you to tell the truth. That's just unavoidable."

Alana smiled back at Hanna and reached for some pizza. "Thanks. I figure the truth thing's probably going to go away in a day or so, but it's really freaking annoying while it lasts."

"I am feeling worse for other people than myself," Hanna said honestly. "It seems to be upsetting people. I am not so worried about my own truths."

At least, not yet she wasn't. Maybe she wouldn't be?

In the meantime, another bite of pizza might stop her from saying things she didn't wish to regret.
