Second Floor Common Room; Late Tuesday Morning [08/30].
Yesterday had been a lot for Libby, but it had also reminded her that she had a lot of friends and a lot of support here, and, even with all the things she struggled to push past all spelled out as clear as day for nearly everyone to see, they were still there for her. And she was there for them, too, because even though yesterday reminded Libby that she'd been through a lot, it also reminded her that, well....so had most people, here. They'd all had their baggage, but it didn't matter, because they also had each other, and that was...incredibly, necessarily heartening.
And it was her conversation with Charlie in particular that had her swinging by the store after her morning class, with the whole rest of her day free and clear, and set to work at putting together some breakfast. Or probably brunch, at this point, but she liked cooking, and she especially liked cooking for other people, and she really hadn't done it nearly enough lately, and clearly set out to do just that.
So it wouldn't be long at all before the telltale aromas of a good old breakfast casserole started to fill the room, while Libby took to making some fresh squeezed orange juice to go with it while it was baking and, even though she didn't drink it herself, she got some coffee going in the coffee maker, too.
And it just felt nice. It felt good. And she certainly felt a lot lighter than she had yesterday, and she was determined to keep it that way.

"How have you been, Libby?" He didn't want to pry but he was worried about she had fared yesterday and all.

"Yesterday was just a real doozy, now, wasn't it?"
If it had been bad for her, she couldn't even imagine everything Kurt was probably likely to have dealt with.

He leaned close and took a deep breath and smiled at Libby.
"This smells delicious, and I'm sure it tastes just as amazing as always!"

"It's sausage and eggs," she revealed, gaining a little bit of a conspiratorial grin, plus...waffles, if you can believe it! I thought ot would be a good recipe to do, because I've noticed waffles seem to be Gray's favorite."

She brought her plate over to the table and set it down. "I made some juice, too," she added, before she herself sat down and got so comfortable she wouldn't want to get back up again for a while. "And there's coffee. Would you like some?"

Even better when made and shared with a friend but Kurt felt his face heat up a bit just thinking that, so he wasn't about to say it. The memory of "unlovable freak" and "own mother tried to kill you" bags were still a bit too fresh to even let those kinds of feelings be vocalized.

"I'd love some, too, Kurt," she said, and nodded, "thank you."

"Friends do things for each other and help each other- even with the little things," he said as he poured the juice, yes with the tail (sorry Libby that was one area of pride he would pretty struggle with his entire life) and slid one glass over to Libby before getting one for himself and then sitting down.

"Well," she said, "thank you. I'm very lucky to have such good friends."
And, with the sting of so many things still lingering from yesterday, she meant that far more sincerely than just a light agreement, and it was only her own self-consciousness about it that held her back from pointing out that, well, she didn't really know what friends did for each other, since she'd only ever started having them about a year ago, anyway...

"As am I. It's nice to have people you can be yourself around."
Kurt fell silent for a moment and out his attention back to the food. He gave Libby a thumbs up as he ate the first few bites.

Because sure, why not keep ripping the bandage off that wound? It builds character right (and the mun is also sadistic at times XD)

Kurt rubbed the back of his head and gave a small sigh.
"She's my little sib. Who turns out is a year older than me. And is also.... kinda my daughter in an alternate future timeline...."
He gave Gray a somewhat awkward shrugs because... yeah that was definitely a thing.

Kurt sighed and rubbed the back of his head.
"I don't think she is too thrilled to be honest."

"I think I'm hurting my brain trying to wrap it around this," he admitted.
