The Roof; Sunday Afternoon (And BEYOND!) - 05/07.

With the last party they had down at the pool, Graham had made a few hints and allusions to another, second party before the start of the summer session, and, well, now was the time! After mentioning it on radio and spreading the word at the picnic and of course spreading around handwavey flyers and texts, the circle was now complete, as they met the "End of the Semester" party with a "Start of the Semester" party! And while one was underneath the dorms, this one would be on top of it!

So, of course, the roof was decked out with decorations of a very summer-y nature, since that was the semester they were heading into, with music playing to match that vibe, a few beach balls and beach umbrellas floating around, too. And, of course, a table with a lot of moddable snacks, drinks, and Graham's proudest touch: a Neapolitan style sheet cake with the words "LET'S ALL HAVE A SUN-SATIONAL SUMMER!!" written on it, and, below it, in parentheses: "(Seas the Day!)"

So come on up, make the porg intern happy, and have a good time celebrating the start of the semester with a good party, a great view, and even better friends!

"Okay, please tell me you're new and I haven't been that oblivious to miss you the last month or so," TJ opened with.

"I'm new," Eleanor assures her, with a small nod and a sort of smile to go along with it. "I only arrived just yesterday."

Having met Kurt yestersay had definitely helped her be a little less surprised about the blueness of it all, and she, somewhat awkwardly, offered out a hand.

"I'm Eleanor."

"Oh, good." TJ grinned, shaking her hand. "I'm TJ. So on a scale of 'how boring' to 'utter freakout', how are you finding Fandom so far?"

"Somewhere in the middle, maybe?" Eleanor decided, after taking a moment to actually think about it. "It's a much better fit for me than my last school, but I'm just not...I'm not so used to people being so..." She frowned a little, hoping this was the right word for it, "comfortable...with who they really are..."

TJ grimaced sympathetically. "I get that. My school back home was good, but some people came from places they got pretty traumatized. So what's your world got - mutants, magic, aliens, time travel...?"

"Werewolves, witches, and mysterious creatures from the deep," Eleanor offered, with a faint, marveling shake of her head that she'd even be saying that out loud to a near stranger, "plus a few other things, but that's what mostly runs in our family.

"And time travel now, too, I guess," she added. "This place is apparently the future."

"Oh, yeah?" TJ asked, grinning. "When are you from? How far back?"

"About sixty years," Eleanor breathed pit a little, her already wide eyes growing a little as she shook her head. "Unless Gray was really dedicated to his prank, but he seemed sincere."

Eleanor did, however, tend to be pretty gullible, in that respect.

"And that phone he showed me definitely looked like something out of comic books or sci fi stories."

"Whoa, that's a big jump!" TJ brought out her own phone. "Yeah, you definitely need to get one of these. You...wow, you won't even have had computers yet really, huh? I can give you a quick rundown, but you should see Ms. Smith at the T&C. She sets people up with modern tech, and she's not too old to know how to use it."
