She pushed off the wall and ambled somewhat awkwardly over to the back of the couch to lean on it as opposed to the wall, standing a foot or so away from him. "Everyone seems to have gotten out all right," she mentioned, eyes traveling to the trim framing the room at the base of the walls. "Medusa came and helped everyone out through the window in groups, and those who stayed behind waited for the water to cool down to leave."

"Yeah, the entire first floor flooded with boiling water to flush out the zombies." She wrinkled her nose a little. "It smelled positively acrid... I imagine they'll be serving Zombie Stew in the cafeteria for weeks."
She squinted again at the glass in his hand a moment before gesturing to it. She'd never really had any sort of alcohol, but felt inclined to try it after tonight. "Where'd you get that?"

She idly found herself very glad her older brother wasn't at this school and she hadn't seen Yukito recently. Touya would surely have her head if he caught her drinking at a party...

except Absolut vodka, don't ask, this is a rum and coke, for example. I like mixing my drinks to dilute them, takes you longer to get drunk."no subject
"Well I'm open to try just about anything right now," she said, pushing off the couch and standing mostly on one foot. "...So I'll come with you, and you tell me what to get?" She made a shrugging motion with her arms.

O____O;; "I'm sorry..." Still, she couldn't help but laugh. Pursing her lips with a nervous chuckle, she eyed the bottle again and sniffed at it. It certainly smelled good... Shrugging, she took a sip.
Pulling it away from her lips, she raised her eyebrows and smiled at the bottle. "Hey wow, this stuff is pretty good!"

"That stuff's quite tasty," Edward acknowledged. "C'mon," he grabbed her arm and tugged her towards one of the many couches in the common room. "Let's quit blockin' the bar."

For that matter, she hadn't meant for it to fly at all..."It is," she agreed. With a squeak, she stumbled after him a moment before regaining her equilibrium. She'd have to remember not to let zombies catch her by the ankles anymore.

"I've no clue," she mused, eyeing the icebin where Ed had retrieved her bottled drink from, having finished it by now. "But if it ends up as successful as this did, I guess it wouldn't be that awful." She pursed her lips. "Hang on, I'ma go get another one of those drink things." She slid off the arm of the couch and to the bar, digging into the previously mentioned icebin to extract another bottle. She then wandered back to the couch, sitting on it for a moment before sliding off the arm -- purposely -- and onto the cushions. "I promise I won't hit you in the head with the cap this time." She snickered, unearthing her necklace again to use as a bottle opener.

Fortuantely for him, the bottle cap did not wing itself at his forehead. "I'm really impressed by how many people here have battle experience of any kind," he muttered, glancing around. "Although, I do know now that I'm terrified of some of the teachers. And the librian is a loony, but a really cool sword-swinging loony."
no subject
"Yeah, I'm kind of surprised, too. I enrolled here thinking it'd be a normal school -- pshh, I was wrong." She snickered. "So far I've been lucky enough to have more dealings with wierd students and rabid books--" she nudged him with her elbow "--than any teachers. Although Jareth is still pretty strange." She then laughed at him for calling the librarian a sword-swinging loony. "Edward, are you drunk?" she asked, grinning and trying not to crack up.

Then he looked slightly offended. "Me, drunk? Not yet, I'm not!
But I'm well on my way!"no subject
She raised her eyebrows, still grinning. "Oh? You're losing consonants."

Edward sank a little further into the couch. "'S been quite th' weekend. At least we got t'morrow off too."
no subject
"Go to sleep," she leaned away a little, leaning back on the arm of the couch. "You've done more zombie-killing than I have, you should be tired." She grinned somewhat cattishly at him. "And I'm not hallucinating, either." she added, fixing him with a marginally pouty glare. She set her empty bottle just beside the arm of the couch on the floor so it was out of the way of people's feet.
