Sam led the way to the pool, armed with Marty's cricket bat. She set it down when she got to the door and pulled on the handle.

"Locked." She pulled some tools out of her pocket and fiddled with the lock. The doors opened a minute later. "We ready?"

Had Archie heard this and then witnessed Callisto's hypothetical reaction, he would have put two and two together and started smirking very broadly at Callisto.

Which would, hypothetically, have been quite suicidal.

If Callisto had happened to catch sight of Archie's hypotetical smirk, she would have immediately stopped trying to drown Rory and started in on Archie instead.
