Hangover survivors' mecca

It's 12:48 pm. Jaye is still in her pajamas. She may still have some bedhead going on. She is camped out on the sofa of the second floor common room with a blanket, a pillow, and a super size bottle of aspirin. And water. Lots of water. She also ordered out for pizza. And she hates everything on TV and wishes someone brought a movie. Because she's not going back upstairs.

Her head hurts. However, that shouldn't discourage anyone from stopping by and teasing (as she's too icky to care) or joining in the ughness (as you may have a better story).

Archie, who somehow managed to make it as far as ten feet from his dorm room door before passing out, has finally regained consciousness. Not being in any mood to be hung over and miserable by himself, he goes into his room to get a blanket and then staggers up to the second floor common room, hoping to shamelessly mooch off someone for food find food and hopefully a couch to collapse on for a while.

He seems to have come down with a violent hacking cough at some point after losing consciousness. Funny, that.

Veronica was wide awake and feeling good. It was a new year and she was determined that 2006 was going to be better than 2005.

She wandered down to the common room to see if anyone was around.

"Hey Jaye!" she exclaimed walking in. "Happy New Year!! Did you have fun at Caritas last night?"

Wincing, Jaye puts a finger to her lips in the international "shhh!" sign. "Yes. Too much fun," she says, suppressing the urge to nod.

The Archie-shaped lump under the blanket moved in a way that couldn't be mistaken for anything other than flinching.

"Please, I wouldn't object terribly to the new year starting off a bit more quietly, if you wouldn't mind."

One hand did poke out from under the blankets in a weak but friendly wave, though.

"Hey Mars! Happy New Year! You up for some James Bund?" Marty asks while waving a DVD copy in his hand.

Angela lifts one hand in a wave, vaguely in Veronica's direction. "Hey. Happy 2006," she croaks.

Marty plops down on the sofa carrying his entire collection of James Bund Double Zero Seven-Eleven that he got for Christmas

"I see some people neglected to drink plenty of water to keep themselves hydrated. Or at least had one too many jello shots. Who's up for watching everyone's favorite misogynist spy who sleeps with every woman he sees?"

"As long as the blowups aren't too loud," Jaye groans.

"Hey, Blank, that sounds like fun!" Veronica greets him. She's totally not thinking that maybe she could pick up some tips.

"Hey," Angela says, leaning her head on Marty's shoulder. "I didn't embarass either of us last night, did I?"

Cameron staggers in and drops down on the couch, not caring much that Jaye is currently sitting there and ending up on her feet. He's still wearing his sunglasses. And his player might cry if her computer freezes up again.

Jaye totally doesn't care, either. "You too, huh?" she asks knowingly.

"Oh, hello." Archie's vision is not all it could be right now, since he's still unwilling to open his eyes. "Which one are you, today? Because if you're John, I am still not interested in 'hanging out' with that Anders."

Marty tosses Cam a bottle of water and what is becoming the community aspirin bottle.

"Drink this. Take that."

"Hey, Cam," Veronica waves from where she's sitting. "You looked like you were having fun last night."

Kara comes in and drops down onto the couch, ending up half in Cam's lap. "Oh Gods," she groans.

"Uh," Cameron blinks as he's got half a lap full of Kara and automatically makes sure she doesn't fall to the ground. "Oh right, we did get up eventually."

Jaye points at the aspirin bottle. "Bottoms up," she mumbles.

Swaddled in her coziest sweater and yoga pants, Angela collapses on the couch witha groan.

"I completely hate everyone who let me drink last night."

Parker wanders in with shades on, wearing the same clothes she was last night. She studies the semi-prostrate bodies around her and nods carefully. "You all survived, I see."

"Nope," Jaye says. "I died and went to Fandom."

Aeryn is on her way to the gym when she sees the group in the common room. The very hungover group in the common room.

It's all John's fault, really. He brought up pictures and reminded her that she had to finish off the roll on the camera in order to get pictures developed. So it's his fault when she goes back to her room, retrieves the disposable camera, and comes back to take a picture.

Rory wandered out and fell into a chair, blanket wrapped around her and a hot pink sleeping blindfold pushed up to her forehead.

"No. More. Drinky. For. Rory," she mutttered.

"Oh, come now. You'll be changing your mind soon enough," drawled Archie, who had recovered enough by now to be able to keep his eyes open. He tossed Rory a bottle of water and the aspirin. "Congratulations on surviving the night."

Callisto wandered into the common room in a blanket and pajamas.

She looked like she might kill anyone who spoke too loudly.
