2nd Floor Common Room - Starting Late Afternoon - PARTY!

Logan had hooked up his gamestation to the flatscreen TV and was playing a videogame involving a lot of women in bikinis bouncing up and down. He was drinking a non-descript beverage from a plastic cup, and anyone within two feet of him would notice the odor of tequila wafting off him.

A couple of coolers with beverages (all non-alcoholic) were set up around the room, and bags of chips and other snack foods were laid out on the table.

"Geeze, getting kinda defensive about it, aren't you?" Cally rubs the back of her neck.

"Sorry about that," John says, looking geniunely apologetic. "School work's getting to me. Haven't slept well at all lately. Been dreaming of bias', the Preamble, music, and tennis cannons. Too much school work makes the brain crazy."

"Tennis cannons? Weird," Cally says as she scratches the tip of her nose. "So... huh. Don't know what else to talk about."

"Tennis cannons," John repeats. "Shop class. Oh, I've got something. You know you don't have to kick ass to be awesome, right?"

"Course not. Cause most of the time, I'd be the one getting my ass kicked, really." Cally nods. "Why d'you ask?"

"Talked to Anders," he says quietly. "About the snow monster thing and all. Seriously, I went down too. I'd rather have you safe and in one piece rather then all injured due to fighting any day. I mean that completely platonically, of course. I think Anders feels the same way."

"Oh, that." Cally sinks down a bit into the couch. "Yeah."

Trying to make her feel better about that, John says, "You know, one of the little bastards shot me with cold water. Froze my boxer shorts to my legs and that's no joke. I am not a fighter. I shouldn't even try."

"Yeah, but sometimes, it's the trying that matters." Cally shakes her head and lets out a quiet sigh. "Anyways, what's past is past, you know? I'd rather just forget the whole thing happened."

"You've been putting up with Anders the injury magnet," John says, cocking a thumb at Anders. "That deserves a medal."

"Hey!" Anders tosses a gumball at John.

John catches the gumball and pops it in his mouth. "Hey concussion boy. How's the head?"

"Getting better, Frozen Crotch Dude," retorts Anders, smirking. "Headaches aren't as bad. How's the, uh?" He gestures vaguely at the area that would be covered by John's boxers.

"Better, better," John says, almost patting the area but diverting to his thigh at the last minute. "Good to hear the head's getting better. Got your cupcakes in my room, dude. They're still good. I tried one last night."

Anders can't help snickering a little bit. "Yeah? Jeff's stuff holds up good. Maybe we should bring 'em out here so everybody can have some. 's what they're for anyway, right?"

"Sure." John makes to get up. "I can run down to my room and get them. Not a problem!"

"Cool." Anders is slightly envious that it doesn't hurt John at all when he stands up. "I owe you any more money for those, dude?"

Anders shows up (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhighdorms/444144.html?thread=19461616#t19461616) right about now, and sits down beside Cally. "Forget what? Huh?"

"Nothing. I don't even remember anymore," Cally says, smiling at Anders. "Hey you."

"Hey yourself, gorgeous." Anders leans over and kisses her on the cheek. "Whatcha been up to?"

"Talking, mainly. Except for the part where I totally made out with Parker in front of everybody for twenty bucks." Cally smiles smugly, attempting not to laugh.

"Only twenty bucks?" Anders gives her a maddening smirk. "Couldn't you have waited until I got here, so I wouldn't miss out?"

Cally smacks Anders in the arm. "I was joking, you dork!" She laughs. "I totally would wait out until someone offered fifty."

"Fifty's more like it. But I still wanna be there for that." Anders pokes Cally in the knee and leans his head against her shoulder. "Or at least, y'know, get a promise that you'll tell me which one of us is the better kisser. So I know if I have to ask for pointers."

Cally giggles and turns to kiss the top of Anders' head. "Deal."
