2nd Floor Common Room - Starting Late Afternoon - PARTY!

Logan had hooked up his gamestation to the flatscreen TV and was playing a videogame involving a lot of women in bikinis bouncing up and down. He was drinking a non-descript beverage from a plastic cup, and anyone within two feet of him would notice the odor of tequila wafting off him.

A couple of coolers with beverages (all non-alcoholic) were set up around the room, and bags of chips and other snack foods were laid out on the table.

"I like stupid stories," she grins.

Nadia blushed slightly. "Did you hear, on the radio a couple weeks ago, I got drunk and went looking for a cow?" She pauses for only a moment before continuing, as though she's building momentum. "There was this guy in Buenos Aires. An American, he said he was an anarchist? Anyway, he loooooved his tequila. His tequila didn't really love him. He got really, really drunk one night and decided to go looking for la vaca del tequila--the tequila cow. 'That divine bovine from who's teat the golden liquor flows'. He set out, and we're not sure what happened, but he came back . . . even more drunk."

"Oh my god. That is..." She shakes her head. And shakes it again. "My brain. Ow."

Nadia laughed. "I know. He must have found it, right? Well, every time any of us drank tequila after that, we all wanted to go find the cow. And in this town? I think some day, I might just end up finding it."

"I'm suddenly having horrifying images of a field of tequila cows. I may stay away from them."

Nadia blinked. "A whole field?" Her gaze might have become a touch unfocused as she pictured it. "Ése es muchos de tequila." She shook her head. "We could try for a rum goat, or a vodka muppet chicken,"

"A vodka Muppet chicken?" Jaye repeats, laughing. "Okay, I kind of love that."

Nadia grinned. "See? That's the spirit of the liquor influenced farm animals!" She glanced around. "Speaking of liquor, I don't suppose there's any here?"

"I don't see any," Jaye says. "This isn't good. I don't like this. I've come to expect something of Logan parties."

Nadia nodded as though she had any clue who Logan was. "Maybe I should run and get my left-over brownies."

[fates_jaye]

Jaye frowns. "Huh?"

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia glances over at Jaye. "You know, brownies. From the music store. They're not alcoholic, but they'd still provide for some fun,"

"Ohhhh," she says. "Might as well go for it. I have to be good, though. I've been telling everyone this is all natural weirdness for so long, I'd earn myself bad hypocrisy karma."

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia nodded slowly. "Yeah, I have no idea what you're talking about. You . . . have to be good with . . . weirdness karma?" She's not trying to be mean, she seriously wasn't able to follow what Jaye just said. "Remind me what 'hypocrisy' means?"

"You know, when you say you won't do something, and then go ahead and do it anyway? It's kinda like that," she says.

[nadiathesaint]

"Right, okay. So you tell people you're the way you are without any . . . extras . . . so you can't . . . have extras."

Seriously, some day? Nadia will get the hang of euphemisms.

Jaye almost doesn't follow, so she kind of nods. "Yeah? I think?"

Nadia raises an eyebrow. "Lost in translation? Now you know how I feel." She shook her head. "I guess I won't go get them. If I'm the only one, then I'll just get all paranoid."

[fates_jaye]

"And I'm clearly already making sense," Jaye grins.

[nadiathesaint]

Nadia nodded absently. "You drink, though, right? We could investigate the alcohol situation," she shook her head again. "I sound like a drunk or a loser. I've had a weird week or so."

"Oh, trust me, I can drink," Jaye says. "I have plenty to blame on that."

"Don't we all?"
