2nd Floor Common Room - Starting Late Afternoon - PARTY!

Logan had hooked up his gamestation to the flatscreen TV and was playing a videogame involving a lot of women in bikinis bouncing up and down. He was drinking a non-descript beverage from a plastic cup, and anyone within two feet of him would notice the odor of tequila wafting off him.

A couple of coolers with beverages (all non-alcoholic) were set up around the room, and bags of chips and other snack foods were laid out on the table.

"He's a nice guy but it's just an odd sight," John says, thinking back on his last visit to Zordon. "Tell him John says hello!"

"I'll be sure to," Peter said, noting to say it at the end of the interview. "Are there any other faculty members you've impressed this much?"

"Hmmm." John considers that. "Not really. I think Professor Macgyver likes me and I am Professor Ted's TA but nothing like the Professor Skeeter or Dean Zordon. I'm a likeable guy, really!"

"Hey, I believe you," Peter said. "I'm just not if sure the teachers agree."

John laughs. "Hey, Parker, your not!sister loves me too. If that's not a smashing endorsement," John says, taking on a faux British accent, "I don't know what is."

"Seriously, stick with the first name. It makes things so much easier," Peter said. "But that endorsement definitely is... smashing. I guess. If you want to be British about it."

"Professor Skeeter's British-like," John explains, "so I'm practicing in case I have to track down British type information about her and Mr. Skeeter."

Peter started laughing. A lot. "Have you used the accent on her?"

[identity profile] whitedeathpod.livejournal.com 2006-02-04 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
"No," John says, tapping his chin. "Think I should?"

"As long as you take full credit for the idea - and I insist that you do - I think it could be interesting to see what happens," Peter said, grinning.

"I bet she'd like me even more," John says, grinning as well. "I could even adopt a British name. Peter's pretty British. Can I borrow that name for a day?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-04 05:01 am (UTC)(link)
"Go with Nigel," Peter said immediately. "You don't get much more British than Nigel."

[identity profile] whitedeathpod.livejournal.com 2006-02-04 05:06 am (UTC)(link)
"Nigel!" John snaps his fingers like the name is a giant revelation. "Excellent suggestion. Nigel Van Susteren? How's that sound? Not too German?"

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-04 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
"I think it sounds like a winner, John," Peter said. He then corrected himself. "Nigel, I mean. Lord Van Susteren."

John gives Peter a thumbs up. "But, if after this, you hear the radio say I'm an animal. Don't laugh too hard."

[identity profile] peter--parker.livejournal.com 2006-02-04 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
"I'll mourn your opposable thumbs," Peter said. "And I'll be sure to bring you treats or something. Good luck."

[identity profile] whitedeathpod.livejournal.com 2006-02-04 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
"Thanks buddy!" John nods. "I get going. Bedtime's pretty soon," he says even though it's super early.

"Um, okay. See you later, John," Peter said.

That was kind of weird. Peter wondered if that had anything to do with Parker's study group thing. Hey, that was tonight. He made a note to check the radio later on.
