4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here at each of the tables. Please note that [livejournal.com profile] peter__parker has a special doggie icon he can use at whatever table he wants. Have fun!]

[ooc2: Please wait for the OCD threads are up.]

Peter set up shop at Table 1, ready to dominate all with Ace, the Spider-Mutt. He had no clue where that name came from.

"Okay, who's what piece?"

[OOC: For sake of ease, I think we can probably just "roll" in the order we jump in. Make sense?]

"I call the shoe!" Molly said as she sat down by Peter.

Mac dropped into a seat at the table with a grin at the other players. "I'll go for the hat, if that's okay?"

"Hey Molly, and uh..." she flounders a little, "I don't know you... but Hi".

Peter smiled. "Hi there. I'm Peter. See, Game Night is already bringing people together!"

"I'm Mac." She picked up the hat from the board fiddling with it for a moment before sticking it back down on 'Go'. "This looks like it could be fun, I was in need of something to keep me entertained for the evening."

"Nice to meet you," Peter said. "I love Monopoly. It's fun for the first few hours, then people start getting tired and frustrated and overreact in a comedic fashion. Always entertaining."

Mac grinned at Molly giving her a quick wave. "You ready to lose all your fake money?"

Barbossa was trying very hard not to let his eyes gleam at all of the fake money. "Treasure," he said. "Can I be the booty-counter?"

"Okay," Peter said. "Time to walk the dog." Peter ended up on Oriental Ave.

"Yes, I did just say I was walking the dog. He's wee, adorable and shiny. He deserves comments like that."

[OOC: Don't worry about actually getting anal with rolling or buying properties or anything. Just keep a vague idea of where you are on the board in mind, talk, chatter, complain about losing money, what have you. And most of all, have fun!]

"I would say something similar about my hat... but really, its more suave than cute."
