4th Floor Common Room, Monopoly Game Night

Late Saturday afternoon, Isabel started preparing the fourth floor common room for Game Night. By the time the evening rolled around, the room was ready for fun. A table against the wall was loaded with an assortment of baked goods from Jeff, God of Biscuits and an assortment of chips and various dips. There was a cooler next to the table filled with bottles of water, fruit juice and cans of soda.

Four tables were arranged with Monopoly game boards and space for eight players at a table.

With everything ready she sat down to wait.

[OOC: Obviously we're not going to be rolling the dice for every turn. The game does need to end at some point tonight (preferebly before 5:30 in the morning). Hopefully there's enough links that you'll be able to fake it well enough to have fun. Game piece icons are available for the truly obsessed here at each of the tables. Please note that peter__parker has a special doggie icon he can use at whatever table he wants. Have fun!]

Isabel rolled a four and landed on Vermont so she paid Pippi. She rolled again for doubles and got a 6 so she moved to Virginia and bought it.

Jack modded w/permission rolled two ones, and landed on an increasinly-crowded jail. Doubles rule meant that he rolled again, landed a three, and moved to States Avenue, which he promptly bought.

Janet rolled a six and a one, moved to Community Chest, and drew a Get Out of Jail Free card. Still no money paid in or out. She pouted a little bit at that.

Parker rolled double threes, and landed on Oriental Avenue. "Damn." She paid Nadia the $6 rent, pouting the whole time, then rolled again, getting a one and a four, and landing on St. Charles Place. "Mine, mine." She paid out $140 and grinned. "The beginnings of my empire."

Pip rolled two ones and landed on States Ave. Cursing, he handed out a ten to Jack and rolled again.

She buys Tenn Ave.

She rolls again for doubles and gets a 4 and a 2

She buys B&O Railroad. She is not giggling or calling it "Stinky Railroad", that would be juvenile. :)

Jack grins. "C'mon, doubles...." He ends up rolling a combined three, and sighs. "Ah, well. St. James, come to Papa!" He paid out $180 and fanned the little card at Parker.

Who rolled her eyes and said, "Gimme the dice, Jack. You have *no* business sense." She rolled double sixes, and chortled. "That puts me on... Indiana. Which no one owns, but I don't want it." Parker rolled again and got a combined seven, landing on Go to Jail. "Damn!" She pouted, and folded her arms, waiting to pay money to get out on her next turn.

Janet rolled a three and a one, and moved from Community Chest on to Kentucky Avenue. So she bought it. "Finally, I own something!"

Blair rolls a seven and lands on a community chest and reads out loud. "Christmas fund matures, collect $100. So I made money? Cool!"

"The fun comes in when we start making deals, or charging rent and building on it," Parker told her. "Then we really see who knows how to play."

"I'd guess you're a master at the game," said Janet.

"Who cares?" asked Jack. "It's my turn. Someone gimme the dice!" He rolled, and got-- "Two threes! Doubles! I'm on my way to Chance!" He looked at his card and pouted a bit. "Poor tax of fifteen dollars?" Then glanced around the table. "Any chance for a consolation kiss?"

Parker also modded with permission, duh grabbed his shoulders and pulled him to her for a nice, long kiss that left them both a little breathless. Jack did a little victory dance and leered at Parker, before rolling the dice again. "Six and one. Almost my two favorite numbers. Who's Marvin and why does he have a garden? Because I'm buying it from him."

Janet just laughed and grabbed the dice off the table. "You're finished now, right?" she asked. She rolled the dice, moved eleven spots over to North Carolina Avenue. "Oh, high-rent property. Very nice."

Parker, grinning and ostentatiously licking her lips, rolled a six and a one as well, and took her thimble over to Jack's St. Charles Place. "Damn. I want my kiss back if I'm paying you rent."

Grinning, Jack obliged. Parker looked consoled after they finally pulled away.

Pip raised an eyebrow at Jack. "Looks like I'm in the prescnece of the hit-on king. I feel like I should be kneeling." He rolled the dice and got two fives.

"Tch, income tax."

He paid it and rolled again, getting a one and a two. "Might as well buy it," he said, buying the cheapest property available.

Nadia rolled and came up with a six and a four. "Park Place. It's expensive. That means it's good, right? I'll take it." She handed over the money and then looked at her dwindling pile of cash. "I don't understand the point of this game."
