2nd Floor Common Room - Evening

Parker really didn't get much done today. She's watching the DVD of Midsummer Night's Dream -- the one with Kevin Kline and Callista Flockhart -- and making mental notes of what *not* to do as Queen of the Fairies.

She's also hoping to run into some people, so she can get some answers about what's been happening while she was in England.

"I get it, but... Borrow some of Zero's certainty, if you have to. She's not even mildly worried." Parker took a moment, then very quietly added, "I did not tell him the other thing you said on the phone. I wasn't sure if you'd told him yet."

"Other thing I said?" Callisto looked confused. "What other thing did I say?"

"Something about being in love with him?" Parker cocked an eyebrow at him. "Right before you started giggling. I wasn't sure whether to take that seriously or not."

"Oh gods," Callisto buried her face in her hands. "Please tell me I didn't actually say that out loud."

"You did. In between the spaz attacks." She cocked her head at Callisto. "Right. Never happened. Temporary insanity. And those connections to England are dicey."

Callisto mightn't have been paying full attention to Parker. "Gods, why did I have to open my big mouth."

Parker rolled her eyes, and hit her with a pillow, although not hard. "Hello! If I say it didn't happen, it didn't happen! You can erase it from your brain, if you like. If a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, it might make a sound, but no one cares!" She frowned. "Okay, that's probably not helpful."

"Parker, point isn't whether I actually said it or not," Callisto said. ""

Parker bit her lip. "Oh." And her voice was full of complete empathy when she said, "I see."

"Which of course doesn't actually matter all that much, since I doubt that this is really an appropriate time for flowerly, overblown declarations, is it?"

"Probably not," Parker conceded. "Even if they are true." She studied Callisto. "Next week is soon enough, after all. When he's better. If you say them at all."
