Parker really didn't get much done today. She's watching the DVD of Midsummer Night's Dream -- the one with Kevin Kline and Callista Flockhart -- and making mental notes of what *not* to do as Queen of the Fairies.

She's also hoping to run into some people, so she can get some answers about what's been happening while she was in England.

"You might as well stick to that, until certain travelers return." She looked considering. "Or, you could make a story so ridiculous that the truth will seem tame by comparison."

She smiled. "And what story can I come up with that's worse than the teacher thing?"

"Then you will no longer be lying to a friend. And everything else is negotiable. For one thing, you could always buy a ticket to a place far, far away. Round-trip."

"Worse than the teacher thing. Married, but no, no reason to make yourself look like a skank. Mad? That's always good. A poor, sweet, occasionally delusional manic-depressive schizophrenic, who thinks he's King Arthur? Oh, wait. Aeryn would kill you."

Rory blinked. "I didn't process any of that. Did you just suggest I pretend to hook up with John?"
