Just outside Hunting 101 classroom: Period 7

Blair was furious that there was a hunting class at the school. Like the students didn't have enough violent tendencies without having a class on how to kill things. There'd be no hope for a peaceful response the next time an invasion happened. Something had to be done.

Which is why Blair is standing in the hallway outside of the hunting classroom holding up a sign that says 'Hunting = Murder'.

Bel shrugged. "Can't help it. It's in the back of my mind 24/7."

Blair stared at Bel for a long moment. He figured that Bel could probably use a class on how to keep himself safe from people after him but he really didn't want to admit that. "Do you need a hug?"

"Er, I'm okay, really," Bel said.

"Are you sure, man? I've brought up lots of rough topics for you today." Blair dropped his sign and held out his arms teasingly. "Come on, man. Hugging is good for the soul."

"C'mon, Blair, you know I only hug mimes," Bel said with a straight face.

Blair backed up fast enough that he hit the wall behind him. "Not funny, man."

"I would hit you my sign if I wasn't currently protesting for peace."

"Dude, you're the one with the demon-mime obsession," Bel said. "Why were Luke's first words to me 'I'm not a mime!'"

"More like aversion." Blair muttered. "Um...how do you know he heard it from me? Maybe you have a reputation...where Luke is from...in space..."

"Because he told me?" Bel said.

"Crap." Blair flailed and tried for a distraction. "Did you hear about Anakin, man?"

"What, that he's Luke's father or that he's dead?" Bel said.

"Both, man." Blair said sadly. "I feel bad for Luke. Not only does he not have a dad, but he has to tell all of Anakin's friends that he's dead. It's very crummy way to start out the new school year."

"Yeah, too bad he has to find out how much of a dick his father was," Bel muttered.

Blair glared at Bel. "I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that, man."

"He tried to kill Angel," Bel pointed out, as if that explained everything.

"He did?" Blair blinked. "Didn't you do that too?"

"I just tried to desoul him and I feel guilty enough about it now," Bel said defensively.

"I know, man." Blair said kindly. "Maybe Anakin did too. He always seemed like a nice guy to me."

"Whatever," Bel said. Then he grinned. "But now that fate has seen to place his son in my hands, I'll do my best to make sure the kid doesn't grow up to be like his dad."

"...." Blair blinked. "I think I need to hang out with Luke."

"A lot."

Bel clutched his hand to his heart. And frowned.

"Blair, you really know how to hurt a guy."

"Sorry, man!" Blair flailed. "I don't mean that you're a bad influence or anything, just that I feel bad for Luke and don't want you telling him horrible things about his dad because regardless of who Anakin was to you, he's Luke's dad and there's just some things you don't mess with but it really wasn't a slam on you at all. I'd let you hang out with my kids. Totally. You'd make a good babysitter."

"You think I'd be a good dad?" Bel asked idly.

Blair looked at him for a long moment, thinking. "Yeah, man. I think you would be. You'd be tough on your kids, but not mean and I think you'd understand how to give them second chances. And seeing how you are with Phoebe? Man, there's no question that you'd love them a lot."

Bel grinned a little goofily. "I wanna have some some day."
