Outside the Danger Room, 7th Period

Blair was tired and sore and looking a little worse for wear. He sported a bandage on his forehead and several small cuts and bruises were visible on his face, neck and hands. His cast on the other hand was looking suspiciously shiny and white, as Aziraphale had kindly fixed that for him.

Also, he was without his backpack, but that might be hard to tell since he was sitting down on the floor just outside the danger shop door, the stop-sign shaped with the word "THINK" laying in front of him. It wasn't his best sign, but he felt really guilty about flashing a sign about not killing demons after last night.

"Ditto on the sore front." Blair nodded. "Probably not as bad as you though."

"I've had worse," Bel said, shrugging it off. He tried to hide the wince of pain the shrug caused because macho and all.

"Ouch." Blair said for him, because he wasn't all about the macho.

"So...um...last night..."

"What about it?" Bel said gruffly.

Blair wasn't really sure what he wanted to say here. He was sorry that Bel had to go through all what he did but he was touched that he helped out. Blair wondered how a suggestion for a hug would go over.

After a long moment, he looked up. "Thanks, man."

"You're welcome," Bel said quietly. "Sorry it got kinda, um, weird there."

"Got kinda weird?" Blair gave a surprised bark of laughter. "Sorry, I don't mean to laugh at you it's just...the whole thing was weird. There were demons on bikes. With axes. It was like some bizzare lumberjack biker thing."

Bel snickered despite himself. "Yeah, I suppose the whole thing was pretty crazy," he said. "Haven't had a fight like that in awhile."

"No offense, man, but I hope you don't have one like it again for a long time."

Bel shrugged. "Sorry you had to see that side of me," he said softly.

"The demon side or the fighty side?" Blair asked.

"Both?" Bel said. "I know it's pretty ugly."

"I've seen your demon side before, man." Blair shrugged and immediately rubbed his chest. "The fighting was...I'm not going to lie man. You definitely bring the scary."

"It's what I am," Bel said. "I was raised and trained to be a killer. It's what I'm best at."

"Huh." Blair looked down and fiddled with his cast. "I've known you for awhile, man and that's the first time I've seen you like that. It's not all you are."

"It's what I am underneath it all," Bel said. "I mean, a year in this place doesn't wipe out what I am or what I've done. I can look like a human, I can even act like one sometimes, but I'm not one."

"What the..." Blair looked up. "Are you on drugs or something? I thought you were half human."

"Well, yeah," Bel said. "But the demon side is stronger. I proved that last night." He looked around nervously, as if expecting a Winchester to pop up and overhear that.

"Nuh-uh." Blair shook his head. "You're here today talking to me with your normal pretty-boy face and hair. If the demon side was stronger, that wouldn't be happening."

"You saw what I almost did last night," Bel pointed out. "I lost it."

"Almost, man. Almost." Blair pointed to himself. "I'm here. Dr. Wilson and Phale are here. Well, not here...here, but you know what I mean. You didn't lose it."

"But if I had, you'd be dead," Bel said unhappily. "I don't like the thought of that."

"You like me." Blair smiled. "You really like me."

"Don't let it go to your head," Bel said, but he managed a grin.

Blair grinned back, very pleased with Bel's smile. "We're all okay, man."
