Outside Hunting Class, 7th period

Lurking outside hunting class is a rawhead, a monster covered in dark matted hair and holding a sign that says 'I can be your friend!'. The costume is convincing, but if you watch the rawhead long enough you might be able to see it bounce.

Blair grinned under the mask and gave another small bounce. The costume had come in yesterday and luckily it was big enough that he could wear it over his cast. He practiced his growls and grunting while he waited for the students to show up. "Grrrr. GRRRR! Grrr."

"Grr. They'd probably think you were a slut." Blair hoped that his costume was padded just in case Nadia decided to lay him out for that remark.

Nadia frowned. She'd have to get Blair for saying she looked like a slut. Meanwhile though. . . . "You're only saying that because you're evil."

"I didn't say that I thought you were a slut. I'm just saying that other people might assume that based on your looks and how you dress." Blair shook his head. "See? Aren't stereotypes bad? Grr."

The Rawhead looked Nadia up and down slowly. "Grr. Sure."

Blair was looking to get smacked. "You know, you're doing doing very well at making friends."

"Grr. You said I was evil first." Blair shrugged. "I'm just trying to point out that stereotypes are bad. Whether they're about evilness or slutiness."

"Stop calling me a slut!"

"Methinks the lady doth protest too much." Blair smirked under his mask.

Nadia scowled and reached out to grab the front of the costume and shove the "rawhead" against the wall. "Imply that I'm cheating on my boyfriend one more time, Sandburg, and I'll 'forget' that you're wearing a costume to try and prove a point."

"Whoa!" The costume padding muffled the hit against the wall. "I didn't say that you were cheating on Walter, Nadia! Just that you dressed like a slut. It's totally different!"

"I. DON'T. DRESS. LIKE A SLUT!" Nadia might have punctuated that sentence with shakes to Blair's person.

"Ugh. Don't shake so hard. I can't ralph in a rented costume." Blair groaned.

Nadia let him go and stepped back. "I don't," she said coldly. "I dress in a way that is fashionable for my culture."

Blair shook himself a little and tugged on parts of his costume to make sure he was totally covered. "Which some, not me, but some might percieve as slutty."

"Some people are idiots," Nadia muttered. "What the hell are you dressed as, anyway?"

"Some people have anger issues." Blair muttered.

"I'm a rawhead!"

"Yeah? What do rawheads do?" Nadia decided against commenting on the anger issues thing.

Because, well, it was true.

"We're harmless creatures who reward good children and live under sinks." Blair nodded. "We want to be your friend! Grr!"

Nadia raised an eyebrow. "If I go look up rawheads, is that what I'm going to find out?"

"Grr. The Man might have snuck something in there about drowning naughty kids." Blair growled. "Just ignore it."

"Uh huh. Remember what I said about the Man sometimes just being a scapegoat?"

Nadia shook her head. Sometimes it was like things went in one ear and out the other. "I'm pretty sure that rawheads probably don't reward children, do they."

"That's what it said in the books." Blair tried digging in the pocket of his suit for a moment but the rubber hand wasn't cooperating.

"I've got a reward for you if you'll put your hand in my pocket."
