Sunday Evening - Fifth Floor Common Room

After handwavy shopping for supplies and food, Peter and Isabel decorated the Common Room and hung a banner across the back saying  "Congratulations on Surviving Our First Week of Classes!"  

A big cake of whatever flavour you want to mod saying much the same thing, soda, chips, and lots of other food were laid out on the table along with poppers, kazoos, noisemakers, and other party favours and games.

In short, the Common Room was set up for a big Student Council sponsored party for all students old and new.

Alanna came into the common room, with Faithful in her hands. Faithful had tinsel tied around his colar.

"Good evening, Alanna. Evening, Faithful," Peter said with a wave. He grinned at Faithful. "You look very festive."

Faithful glared at Peter. Alanna grinned. "Everyone who hasnt met him yet will think he's friendly."

"You're absolutely awful," Peter said to Alanna.

Alanna grinned wickedly. "I know, isn't it great?"

"Terribly," he said, snickering. He shrugged at Faithful. "Sorry, man."

Faithful sighed. "I've had worse days."

"Did they include the Halloween party?" Peter asked.

"I'm blocking that memory from my mind." Faithful said with a shudder.

"Madame President!" Isabel called, blowing the noisemaker in tribute.

Faithful batted vaguely in the direction of the noisemaker. Alanna blushed. "Hey Isabel!"

"Hi Faithful!," she laughed. "Having fun with the newbies? Alanna how are the first week of classes?"

"I have radio tomorrow." The cat cackled. Alanna groaned. "DAMM is weird as all hell, other wise it was awesome. Heard you were a dead body at some point?"

"As long as you don't talk about me playing with my cat, I'm sure it'll be enjoyable," Isabel replied, rolling her eyes. "Yeah, I know that feeling. And I was. For Forensics class. I inadvertantly freaked a few people out."

"Talking about your...oh!" Alanna's eyes grew wide. "Did you smack him at least? Were you actually dead?"

"There was much groveling," she smirked. "And roses. So I didn't kill him. Although maybe we could have substituted him for the body. No, I wasn't actually dead, just made up and staged to look like it."

"Ah. Well, volunteer him for the next dead body then?"

Charlie came up beside her. "Hey. You're a hard woman to find, y'know that?"

"Really? It seems like people I don't want to run into always find me easily." Alanna turned towards Charlie.

"Must be a weird Fandom thing," he grinned. "I met your roommate."

"Ron? Oh, right. Uh...it totally slipt my mind to mention that my new roommate was a guy. Or that I had a new roommate."

"Then lucky I'm a smart guy and figured it all out. I might've done the whole 'keep your hands to yourself' thing, and he was very understanding."

"And no one got hurt?" Alanna double checked. "I really am sorry about forgetting to tell you. The shock made it totally slip my mind."

"No fisticuffs, no owl attacks, we're good." He shrugged. "Wasn't worried about you. Well, I was, I mean I wasn't worried about you not telling me. You lived with a bunch of guys back in Tortall, so I figured it was all systems normal." Charlie bounced on to his next topic. "What're you doing Tuesday night? Keep in mind the correct answer should be 'nothing'."

"Actually, I never lived with guys. As a page, I had a seperate room, well closet, from my man-at-arms. And Jon knew that I was a girl so he made sure we had seperate rooms." Alanna corrected. "And unless the school is attacked by animate furniture, I'm assuming that I'm spending Tuesday night with you."
