LBJ Campfire, Thursday Night

Sometime during the day, Sam had come to a sad realization - he hadn't had nearly enough s'mores for the amount of time they'd been out at the cabins. When the evening rolled around and the sun finally went down, he lit the cabin's campfire and set himself up with all the necessary supplies, to cook for himself and for anyone else who sat down.

It wasn't long before he figured out that his marshmallow roasting stick was also good for keeping tiny moose away from the fire. It was kind of amazing how this place still found ways to weird him out, even after all this time.

Priestly was still all enamored of the moose.

"Dude. I love this island."

Sam snickered and grinned at Priestly. "I have to admit, if we're going to get invaded, I don't mind if it comes in the form of small and cute."

"And athletic. Dinah and I took a run with 'em this morning."

"Did they run with you, or were they trying to get away from you?" Sam asked with a smirk.

Priestly stuck his tongue out at him. "They totally loved us."

Sam laughed. "I don't know, they might have seen the mohawk and thought you were a predator."

"Hey, my mohawk is totally nonthreatening. Speaking of, how'd your hair experiment go over?"

"It went really well. Dean laughed, but not, like, at me. I don't think he thought I'd be brave enough."

"Bet it felt good to prove him wrong, huh? And I, uh, take it that means he won't be out for my blood?"

"Going to keep some of the moose?" Rose asked, grinning at him from her place around the fire.

"Do you think they'll get along with my flying squirrel?"

"Only if the squirrel strings up a little harness so the moose can fly along," Rose told him.

"I'm not sure Ramone is that strong."

"Weights?"

"What, like, lifting 'em?"

"For the squirrel," she said, a smile playing over her lips. "So he can lift the moose eventually."

"Yeeeeah, I think he's probably still gonna be too small."

"Nice hair," Jennifer said, a genuine smile on her face. "Real rebellious."

"Thanks! I try." Priestly held out his hand. "Priestly."

"Jennifer," she said, shaking his hand. "I'm surprised I hadn't seen you sooner."

"Musta been running in different circles."

"I guess," Jennifer said. "Or I'm spending too much time in my cabin studying."

"What circles do you run in?" Jennifer asked.

"Small ones filled with moose." Priestly grinned. "I don't really know."
