The Roof [Monday afternoon]
Four had spent the last week exploring the island, learning the ways out, the places that were easiest to defend, the places that served food (he'd have to talk to the faction leaders about getting his monthly points for food and clothing converted into something he could use here), the places that sold clothing, and most importantly the shooting range and gym.
He was pretty impressed with the facilities, despite Chuck's warnings about them.
And now he was up on the second to last place he had to scout out--the roof--staying by the door and breathing through his fear of heights. After he was done here, he'd check out Selkie Point.
His eyes closed briefly as he worked to calm the pounding of his heart. He'd check out Selkie Point tomorrow, probably. Maybe even the next day.

synchronizespot areas he had not previously noticed. So after he came in via the stairs he hopped up on the divider to get a better look--
"Oh, hello, mate," he called. "Didn't notice you, sorry."

He was doing it as a more than slightly masochistic exercise.

Like he didn't know that. So helpful.
She anxiously gathered up the end of her hair, watching, just in case he ended up needing a rope.

Not really, but hey.

It was the most absolutely logical thing to her, no matter how odd that sentence might have sounded to anyone else.

He had, at least, stopped wearing hoodies for now but everything was still covered including his eyes but sunglasses were practical for this weather anyway.
Nathan hadn't yet visited the roof even after being told they were allowed up there and he was interested to see what it felt like in comparison to the Preserve. Sketch book under one arm, he stopped behind the guy in the door.
"Something wrong?" The other guy seemed pretty attached to the door, after all.

You're not that high off the ground, Four.

"Doesn't feel that bad," he remarked, glancing over at Four. "I don't think we're high enough for wind to really be a factor. It's not a mountain."
no subject
They did have 99 story buildings, but unlike his fellow Dauntless, Four was not an idiot about to jump off of that for fun.

The sketchbook seemed to answer that question but Nathan asked anyway.

"Ouch!" She set down her sketchpad on the ground as she pulled her hair up the stairs and through the door she was now propping open with her foot, rolling her eyes as she piled her hair by her feet. "Oh, hi! Four, right? Is it okay if I sit up here with you?"
You know, once she had her little hair-stuck-in-the-stairwell situation under control. Rapunzel problems, man.

"Am I interrupting?" she checked, like Vitor wasn't barking a hello anyway.
no subject
She glanced at Sia with a small, slightly-shy smile. "Is he okay with petting?" She knew you were supposed to check, first, even if this was the first dog she'd ever seen this close.

And of course Vitor's tail was wagging happily and he was already trying to nuzzle Rapunzel's hand for pets. Demanding puppy.
